Creato Quick casting 1000g in poly bag, alginate moulding paste

Reading some of the low reviews I was a little reluctant to try. But very happy I did. My advice is to ignore the people saying it's lumpy or won't set a strong mould - these reviews DO NOT KNOW how to use alginate.A simple google search clearly states to add the water to the alginate - NOT the alginate to the water as I'd bet money the other people did - this will result in extremely lumpy and poor moulds no matter what brand you use. I know: I used a very very well trusted brand and mixed wrong and one batch wouldn't set and was lumpy porridge, and the other set almost instantly.This is user error.I learnt from my mistakes and mixed this product at a 3:1 water to alginate BY WIEGHT NOT VOLUME (alginate can be compressed, or fluffy so eyeballing volume does not give accurate weight). Had spare pint of water on hand too.Added the water to the alginate and mixed well, added a few more dashes of water at the end (a tip I found from a easy google search: "save 10% of the water to add at the end of mixing") and it came out perfect.Stuck my hand in it, stayed still for 5mins and made a virtually perfect mould. And what's more it was WAY WAY stronger and lasted LONGER than the brand name alginate that fell apart after 10mins.Cast polyurethane resin hands x2 and each mixed batch of this product was perfect - because I knew how to mix properly!Buy this product, search how to properly mix alginate, test a small batch and you will be very very happy like me.

fantastic, first time using alginate for anything and it was great, I cast my entire head with the help of my fiancée, she also has no experience with alginate or any casting, it was very easy to use. sets at a good pace but you have to be fast slapping it on. great amount of detail captured with it.

I’ve used a few brands of alginate now, this is I think a lot thicker than some brands when mixed and doesn’t have a minty smell, smells like seaweed. I used a drill attachment to mix it. It gets a good amount of detail in casts

This worked fine, was concerned about the lumpiness when mixing but the mould of an adult hand came out perfectly. Did notice it took a long time to fix so wouldn't be good for children's patience and unhelpfully it doesn't change colour so you don't know when it's done. We did try another purchase of a different type, the chromatic one by Craft Mill and the colour changed from pink to white when ready and it was ready in only about three minutes rather than about ten.

Lieferung via Prime wie immer zügig und unkompliziert.Das Pulver war gut und luftdicht in einem Zipbeutel verpackt. Die Anleitung war für mich/uns gut verständlich. Auf unserer Packung war das Missverhältnis von 1 Teil Pulver und 3 Teilen Wasser richtig abgedruckt.Benutzt wurde die Masse für eine Handskulptur. Wir haben die komplette Menge (1kg) mit 3 Liter Wasser gemischt. Ein Rühgerät ist bei dieser Menge wirklich Pflicht und das hat super funktioniert. Bei kleineren Mengen könnte man auch von Hand rühren, aber bei einer solchen würde ich dringend zu einer maschinellen Hilfe raten. Das komplette Gemisch haben wir direkt in einem 7l Eimer (recht schmal und hoch) angemischt und unsere Hände dann eingetaucht statt sie zu übergießen.Das Wasser war etwas kälter als Raumtemperatur (ca 19Grad). Hilfreich wäre es tatsächlich gewesen, wenn die Masse die Farbe geändert hätte wenn sie fertig und fest ist. Aber so ging es auch. Sie hatte im fertigen Zustand die Konsistenz von ausgetrocknetem Silikon würde ich sagen. Die Masse hatte ein wenig Eigengeruch, den ich nicht definieren kann. Dieser war aber nicht sehr penetrant, nur sehr leicht wahrzunehmen.Das Herauslösen unserer Hände funktionierte ganz gut. Sobald etwas Luft von oben rankommt und das entstandene Vakuum dadurch dahin ist ging es ganz einfach. Trotz hin und herbewegen der Hände keine Verformung des Abdruckes. An nseren Händen und Handgelenken blieb nichts kleben.Wir haben dann noch etwa 10 Minuten gewartet um sicherzugehen dass die Masse richtig fest ist und sie dann mit Modellbaugips aufgegossen. Damit wir einen Sockel direkt dranhaben wurde auch bis etwa 2cm oberhalb der Abdruckvertiefung aufgefüllt.Nach ca 24 Stunden haben wir die Form gestürzt und uns an das Schälen gemacht. Mit einem kleinen Messerchen für den Anfang lief es einwandfrei. Den Rest haben wir so abgepellt was ohne Probleme verlief. In den schmalen Ritzen kam ein Zahnstocher zum Einsatz. Ich habe gelesen dass Zahnarztbesteck gut geeignet wäre. Aber für nur eine oder zwei Modelle werde ich mir nicht extra ein solches zulegen.Nachdem alles von der Masse befreit war stellten wir fest, dass wir wohl leider eine Luftblase erwischt haben und somit einige Fingerkuppen nicht ganz ausgefüllt bzw diese nicht richtig abgeformt wurden. Ich denke das Übergießen wäre tatsächlich sinnvoller gewesen um solche Fehler zu vermeiden.Dennoch sind wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.Im Baumarkt kostet ein Komplettset mit Masse und Gips (jeweils bloß 200g) um die 12€. Von daher hier mehr als übertroffenes und top angemessenes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Wir werden dieses Produkt wieder kaufen und ich kann es auch getrost weiterempfehlen.

Ottima. Per avere più tempo prima che s'indurisca l'acqua deve essere a una temperatura inferire a quella consigliata di 23°. Nel mio caso l'acqua era a 15° è ci ha messo più di dieci minuti a indurirsi. Da miscelare col trapano.
