Excellent wifi network extender.
I got this satellite to connect to an existing setup with one RBK50 and RBS50 satellite. The setup itself was simple, or rather would have been if I had simply followed the instructions in the box rather than try to add it via the Orbi iOS app. The app process didn’t work, but simply following the instructions and pressing the sync buttons worked flawlessly. And that’s despite the satellite having a different (older) firmware version than the existing setup, which some reviewers have alleged would brick it. Upgrading to the same firmware did require using logging in via a web browser, however, as the iOS app claimed there was no update to install.

You may need more that 2 in a 4 bed detached - but once you clear the dead spots they are great!
It is an expensive solution. Tried two initially, but due to brick/breeze block walls has a couple of WIFI signal dead spots (4 bed house). 3 units produced superb results, but only after a few trial and error location attempts. I do not like the initial setup process, it seems to pause for some time. Connecting other units for the first time works well if you follow the instructions (best done with all units in the same room). Relocation and reconnecting units is just a matter of turning them off, moving them, and then turning on in the new location. LED lights make it is easy to determine if WiFi (MESH) signal is good (blue), poor (amber) or no connection (magenta). Android and Windows apps work well. Guest network is easy to turn on and off, stops the kids' friends surfing your home network! Note, my modem-router will only support one network connection when its WiFi is turned off to allow the Orbi to operate properly. Power adapter units are surprising large, sticks out from wall socket by about 8.5cm, and you need about 8cm below the wall socket to allow for the cable outlet and unit depth. I did not need tech support, hence no rating.

Not intuitive to setup but great when it's up and running.
I purchased the RBS50 to add to an existing Orbi network that I'd installed and set up previously. Adding the satellite to the existing system wasn't intuitive. It took several attempts over the course of 30 minutes using the Orbi app before it finally connected. Since connecting it's been terrific. Speeds are fantastic and the signal strength is stable. I think another reviewer indicated that it may need to automatically update once it's plugged in and on the network? I'm not sure exactly why it didn't connect easily the first 8 or 9 times I tried but am glad that it's now up and running and I'm very happy with the result.

Expensive yet great
These are expensive; however, you basically get what you pay for. I managed to get this one through a lightening deal to soften the blow. I already have 1 ORBI router and 2 Satellites, this is for extra coverage. Using Speedtest, I now get 70mbs internet speed anywhere in our 3 storey house. We get ~74mbs internet to the internet router as a reference Some suggestions from my experience of this system: At the beginning, install the ORBI as an Access Point and allow the existing internet router to act as the DHCP server Disable Wifi on that internet router Have ORBI use the same network name and password for ease of use for all of the devices on your network The mobile devices seamlessly roam between ORBIS units for the best signal. Don't get hung up on whether you see a 2.4ghz or 5Ghz connection, they are just great

Great Product
This product is great. Living in a 3 storey house, I had often struggled with WiFi signal strength in certain areas. The range and quality of connection has been superb, I can now get great signal strength even when in the garden. The management interface is also really good / easy to use. They are not cheap but certainly worth the investment.

Terrible, steer clear
Well, I have used multiple mesh wifi products for pretty much as long as they have been around. The netgear orbi is the worst I've used ... it is unstable, very hard to set up, the firmware is thoroughly unreliable and the web interface and app are inconsistent and also unreliable, and they even work differently. I was attracted by the latest mesh wifi and parental controls (circle, dns filtering etc) but: wifi set up / stabiity of firmware, fixing of issues, bugs etc - terrible dns filtering - they turned this off within a few months of me buying it! circle - ok but ca. £50 a year - really? this is netgear profiteering so, I would avoid like the plague. It's a real shame as I have used many other netgear products over the years (routers, switches etc) and they have all been good. For what these cost they are thus very bad value for money

Not quite there
It does what it says on the tin. Sort of, it has almost no advanced features and have no QoS on devices that are hardwired. Lots of settings that are basic on cheap routers are not available with this system. It’s more plug and play, but for the money, you’d expect more. Probably would consider the Google Mesh next time. I’ve got a switch plugged into the main orbi router. And the QoS doesn’t work at all. If they updated their software to add features, it could be great.

Purtroppo il prodotto è stato consegnato con un alimentatore per le prese UK. Serve quindi un adattatore. Nelle specifiche non è stato scritto. Male.
