This unique, brand new magnetic knife rack is handmade to order by me from solid American ash. Strong neodymium rare earth magnets are enclosed in the back, enabling 5 knives to be securely held vertically and evenly spaced (the heaviest knife in the photo is 202g and is held firmly). The rack has a satin sanded finish with an application of food safe mineral oil (the same oil used on chopping boards and butcher's blocks). (The racks are designed to be used with normal stainless steel knives. If you have traditional, high-carbon steel chef's knives, the can stain an oiled wood finish. This can be prevented by applying a top coat of food-safe wax. Stainless steel knives will not mark the finish). All magnets and wall fixings are invisible from the front, giving a clean, simple and elegant appearance. The rack has 2 keyhole mounting holes in the back and is easily fixed to a wall or cupboard using 2 screws and wall plugs (fittings and mounting instructions included). Approximate dimensions: 303mm x 44mm x 24mm. Magnet spacing 60mm. Due to the properties of natural wood, each rack will have its own unique appearance. Oak is a beautiful wood and the grain figuring can vary from curly to fairly straight patterns. The rack in the photos is for illustration purposes (the knives are not included). My knife racks are made to order if stock is not available. The maximum order time is 7 days, but usually sooner.
