This product looks a bargain as a pair of cables. This holds true for the one cable that actually works. The second cable has never worked at all in my Belkin monitor. On the Asus monitor it is clear the HDMI input connection is faulty. Caveat emptor. I usually buy the best quality cables and will only do so in the future. Not a bargain so avoid.

Amazon yet again have delivered, I received these on the same day as I ordered, delivery was by prime and as always very efficient.To the product:-Reason for purchase - Having bought a new monitor the only available output from the graphics card due to be having a 3 monitor setup is the display port.The product comes in a retail box, I'd have no qualms giving this as a gift. It comes in a hassle free packaging so there's no need for scissors.It contains:-1 x 1.8m male HDMI to male mini Display Port cableThe product feels and looks great. The plugs and feel of the cable are high quality and feel great. The thickness of the cable is just about right, not too thin to lack rigidity, not too thick that you cant bend it.Both plugs are gold plated which helps the conductivity reducing the 'noise' \ errors.Once placed in the Graphics card or the monitor It holds securely the cable in place without any movement. Much easier than the two screws that are found on VGA or DVI cables.As all cables now transmit data digitally to the monitors / TV's don't fall for the old HDMI trick of more expensive means better. Broke after 1 month. Replaced by very good customer service though.

I like it and it does the job

Quite happy with this - although on occasion the picture cuts out for a few seconds, but once a week maybe if that.. so doesn't hinder viewing at all. Although a few times now the sound has stopped playing out the TV and out of the laptop which is a bit annoying - but the quality is great for the price and it does the job we want it for fine.

First lead I received was flimsy and a bit dodgy. Had to wiggle it around to make it work and the audio would drop in and out. Eventually found a tactic to make it work, left them 2 star feedback and thought no more of it.After a month or two Cheerivo contacted me out of the blue to say they'd read my review and were very sorry that the lead hadn't worked out. They offered to send a replacement lead free of charge as soon as possible. The new lead arrived a few days later as promised.Build quality of the leads are questionable but they do a job. But more impressive is the team at Cheerivo's commitment to ensuring I didn't feel like I had received a bad service. To be contacted out of the blue was a pleasant surprise and receiving a new lead without having to faff about returning the old one is something I didn't expect.Credit to them. They've changed my mind and I have edited the rating accordingly.

I bought myself a nice Asus 27 inch monitor which had HD capabilities and need to get myself a cable which would allow me to connect my Macbook air so that I could take advantage of the full capabilities of the monitor and the Macbook air itself.I did a lot of research looking at different options to ensure that it had both the capabilities and was also cost effective. This cable supports full 1080p HD and has worked wonderfully with my device of choice. The length is reasonable so that I can feed it down the back of my desk and then round back up to the monitor and I feel that due to its length it could work with an entertainment system unit if needed.I have been using this for over two years now so I am also able to vouch for the durability and build.

Good quality cable, length as described (which allows laptop to sit flat on the floor, whilst connected to the television on a shelf above). I feel other potential buyers should know what I did not know prior to purchase - audio is NOT transmitted through this cable - only the video components from the laptop are transmitted through this cable; audio will have to be transmitted separately through some other medium/cable, or as I have done, just use the volume from the laptop whilst watching the video on the larger television screen.
