My elderly cat has always enjoyed scratching wallpaper. We have just had our house redecorated - no wallpaper, so I wanted to give her something to scratch. I had tried the string posts before without real success. So, I bought the "triangle" and after a bit of training - ie: placing her claws on the cardboard, she has taken to it perfectly. She now uses it for scratching using her claws, she uses the sides to rub under her chin and then sits in the interior, like it is her new bed. I put a little bit of catnip inside the "triangle" and this worked like magic. Aesthetically, this product is very attractive - it looks almost sculptural and does not look out of place in our lounge, placed by the radiator where our cat likes to lie to keep warm. It is made of very dense, extremely strong cardboard (yes, I know you would not think it would look particularly nice, but I promise you, it looks rather chic) and I feel it will last a good amount of time. I would say that it is a good idea to place it in a "favourite" place, use a reasonable amount of catnip, take your cat to the scratching post, place their claws on it and "train" him/her. Our cat was initially reluctant.....but within a few days, she started using it very happily. Overall, I am really thrilled with this product - thank you to PetFusion.

I bought two for my cat who admittedly isn't the worst for scratching furniture but over the years she has scratched a couch and carpets etc to sharpen those claws. She never liked the hard sisal scratching boards. I have one of these upstairs and one downstairs and she absolutely loves them! I have never seen her scratching anything else in the house since we got them. The product is very good quality and sturdy, and the cardboard feels solid and does not fall to pieces after a few weeks as you might expect. The beauty of the triangular shape also means there is always a fresh spot for her to scratch. I would highly recommend this product/brand to any cat owner

This is our 2nd one of these, the 1st one having lasted an impressive 2 years, with 2 cats in the house who only go outside for 2 hours a day. You do need to pick up the scratched off cardboard that sheds from it everyday which doesn’t really happen with sisal scratchers, but they get really tatty. This gives some height to scratch up to as well as flat on the bottom inside side. It is very sturdy due to the shape, impossible for the cats to knock over. We didn’t need to use the catnip that’s included in a little plastic bag with it - cats went to use it straight away. Meant we could use the catnip for other toys - added bonus!

I had my doubts about this product but decided to buy it anyway and somewhat out of desperation as my two 11 month old moggies were scratching my carpet to shreds and I got fed up yelling at them to stop! I went for the standard size triangle. It really does look very good in the house- very sculptural- and not at all out of place but more importantly my two cats absolutely LOVE it. They scratch away inside and outside and love playing in it too on a daily basis. Sometimes, I put a small quantity of the cat nip that came with it inside which they find ecstatic . The structure is really beautifully made and certainly money well spent!!!

Superb! Well designed product that our cat loves and which is saving the carpet on the bottom stair which has become his favourite scratching place. Usually our cat is very suspicious of anything new and will avoid for up to a week, but within 2 hours of getting this out of the box he was using it, no catnip required. The triangular shape means the product is very stable and won't fall over when the cat is leaning against it. Have now had this product for 4 months and despite daily scratching (and chewing!) it is still in good shape. Would recommend putting a rubber mat under it (or getting the hoover out regularly) as bits loosened by scratching tend to end up all over the carpet. Am so pleased with this product that I have invested in another Pet Fusion product to keep his Highness happy.

This is a second purchase of this particular model. The previous one had been well used, so a new one was in order. Being a triangle you can turn it over once it starts to wear and the kittens have always enjoyed playing and scratching in the central hole. Very sturdy so no chance of my large cats pulling it over. Good product and I would recommend.

I was not sure about the size of this but it’s not as big as you think. My cat loves the fact he can play inside it. He took to it straight away and started to play with it and climb on it a few days later. It appears expensive but it has 3 sides to scratch so will last 3 times longer. I’m really pleased I chose this particular scratching post. 5*****

Cats.....I have one, but my son brought another two here for a year for me to look after. Many of my previous cats have scratched furniture, carpets and wallpaper. My current cat doesn't scratch indoors, but both of his had used it before, and it proved a boon. They love it. Maybe a bit messy where they scratch a lot but it's very sturdy and they leave all the furnishings alone. It can be turned on all sides when one side gets worn. Would recommend. I've had this one a year and it's still going strong. I've bought my son a new one for when he moves into his new flat, all beautifully decorated!

Note: Updates at the bottom of the review. This cat scratcher is quite attractive and is single-handedly saving the corner of our couch. I wedged it on the corner and the cats are satisfied to scratch it instead of trying to get through the centre hole to the couch. (The moment I remove it, though, the couch instantly recaptures their imagination.) It’s quite an attractive scratcher. I chose the largest model and it allows our cats to stretch out almost completely and then drag their claws down in a very satisfying way. They also enjoy perching on top of it for some reason, even though that can’t possibly be comfortable. I’m glad they are getting a lot of use out of it because I did find it quite expensive. FYI, this scratcher arrived in a gigantic box. I mention it for anyone going to pick it up at a post office. While not extremely heavy, you’ll probably want to grab a cart or trolley if you need to carry it more than a few feet to your vehicle. Update December 2019: We’ve now had this cat scratcher for over a year and it’s easily the best we’ve ever owned. The cats continue to use and abuse it daily, yet it’s holding up incredibly well. If it ever wears out, we’ll definitely purchase another one. Update January 2021: This is the cat scratcher that won’t die. I want to buy the cats a new one from the same brand to change things up in our decor, but I can’t justify it. This one is still in such great shape and they continue to use it regularly!

It took my young, indoor cat a week or two to lose her suspicion of this new item but now she LOVES it. She used every angle of it for scratching, stretching, playing and sometimes just relaxing in the middle. It has some kind of catnip soaked right in and she rubs her cheek, chin and forehead all over every surface of it. She's even made up new kitteh games to play and taught us the rules. She likes us to put her toys on top and wait for her to stalk them, hunt them and eventually kill them by knocking them down. We humans must "reset the pins" as in bowling. This Scratcher is very well-built and should last a good long time. It's more a piece of furniture! When our cat uses up the two sides that are currently facing up, we can just flip over to the bottom and she has a whole new surface to shred to bits! This is a small business, and I hope the continue to gently expand their product line. I plan to purchase another of their products soon, the curvy one, The PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge. [Superior Cardboard & Construction]. Beware of cheaper copycats' with 'unverified' reviews My cat is a long kitty, if you know what I mean and so we bought the Large size. When we first saw it out of the box, I thought I'd made a mistake but she REALLY loves the size. She can sink her front claws into the top and do a real seemingly pleasurably lumbar stretch. She'll even move side to side, like she's working her obliques! She loves her new Scratching post and Kitteh-Kat Pilates machine. She also likes to walk through the opening in the middle or toss her toys in the middle. She's going to get a few years out of this for sure. Update august 2022: as a matter of fact, she got several years out of this but so loved her other Loungers that she stopped paying attention to this one. We gave it to a Multi-cat household a couple of years ago and those kitties are giving the thing a serious workout. It's very sturdy. SO far, none of the cats have managed to strip the Triangle scratcher of all its cardboard scratching surface. when we had it, we just rotated the surface every few months so no one side took a beating. In the time we have had this product, we have bought 4 more of the large loungers as gifts for other households with multiple cats and those cats use the long, larger lounger as what I call a "Double-Decker Nap Mo-Sheen" LOL. Those cats enjoy sleeping on it as if it were a bunk bed. One household still has the original 2 I bought and the other households still have their originals too. If there is any downside, and this isn't much of one - it is the fact that you may need to sweep a little more often or use a handheld duster-buster type vacuum every two or 3 days to suck up all the itty bitty pieces of cardboard the cats make from digging their claws deep into the surface. when one side gets a good workout, we flip it over and let the cat have at the other side. Our cat doesn't care to sleep or scratch in the underneath of the big lounger and so we store old newspapers there for a week until recycling time comes around. In the other households with more than one cat, the cats love the underside of the "bunk" for sleeping. So just keep the scratching bits up off the floor and you'll be a happy cat parent cuz it helps prevent them from scratching furniture legs, couches and so forth. Although we don't have to do it very often, we occasionally "recharge" all 3 of these scratcher products by rubbing a little fresh, organic catnip into the surface. It helps keep the cat interested in the scratcher/lounger and we can sometimes rub it in an area she hasn't been paying equal attention to with her claws. This will usually encourage her to have at the unused area with her sharp claws and help dull them. These are wonderful products from a wonderful company. The scratchers are long-lasting pieces of furniture. we only ever had one wear out and we sawed it in half and placed the half pieces elsewhere in the house where our cat found them and loved the easy access to a new scratching surface. She's a tall cat and a long cat, so maybe she just didn't feel like squeezing under there to rip up the interior. we just used a hacksaw and it created a whole new toy for her. we love these things. It makes the perfect gift for a home with a new kitten or a loved one who has a cat who is bored with their current playthings.

Petit, adapté aux chaton. Mon chat est un sacré de Birmanie de 2 ans et le boude car trop petit, il ne peut pas s’étendre ni rentrer dans l’alcove. Sinon produit de qualité c’est pourquoi je mets 5 étoiles. J’aurais dû mieux lire le descriptif. Déçue

El etólogo gatuno nos dijo que era mejor que los rascadores fueran verticales (teníamos un felpudo que usaba nuestro gato con gusto) así que decidimos comprar éste pensando que, al ser de cartón, quizá se gastaría pronto (en caso de que no terminara de convencer a nuestra mascota) y al tener 3 caras, podríamos usarlo más tiempo pese a ser de cartón. A mi gato le encanta, ya casi no usa el otro (alguna vez pero muy de vez en cuando) y, sorpresa para nosotros, está durando un montón. El único inconveniente es que cuando se rasca, siempre tengo que barrer trocitos pequeños de cartón pero, teniendo mascotas, ya se sabe que toca limpiar más jajaja. Además, lo tenemos cerquita de una ventana y le encanta subirse para cotillear un poco.

Prodotto veramente di ottima fattura. Robusto e grande, calcolando che ho 3 gatti di cui 1 iperattivo. Ci giocano, si fanno le unghie e ci dormono più che volentieri. Sicuramente ne comprerò un altro prossimamente. Spedizione eccellente e imballaggio curato. Consigliato
