An absolutely great bit of kit!
A great piece of kit! Very easy to use, with the usual Android 7.0 software installed. It has a super fast processor, with inbuilt 'Tablet Manager', which easily allows you clean up the crud of temporary files, cache & to free up memory, to keep the Tablet running smoothly. The best bit is the battery life, which lasts more than twice as long as my previous Samsung Tablet, even when it was new. I can highly recommend this Tablet, and is good value for money! I don't care if the Chinese have the potential to spy on me as I doubt they would be interested in my toilet habits, or dining preferences!!!! Lol

Lovely
This was bought to replace another make 7 inch tablet which was slow, not very clear and kept going down. I use this tablet when away from home as quite often the 10 inch tablets don't fit into hotel safes, whereas the smaller ones do. I'm quite happy buying an Huawei tablet as we already have two Honor (Huawei) phones which we're very pleased with.It looks well made, has a clear and sharp screen and works quickly, so absolutely fine there. The sound from the speakers is exceptional and I would say is a lot better than other more expensive tablets. No complaints, a very good unit, especially for the price.

Solid tablet, great value, perfect 4 travel with 256GB card support
All round great value tablet for web use and watching videos. It can stutter a little sometimes scrolling in some apps you notice it stutter. An occasional reboot (every couple of days or so) seems to help.It will recognise 256GB cards despite the tech info staying 128GB which I think relates to the upgraded Android OS since it was originally released.Screen is very good, sound is suroisingly good too and it has a now old fashioned but welcome headphone jack. Damn those guys at Apple!Great for watching movies easily watch 2-3 in a row with one charge maybe more. There is some bloatware but can be hidden away. The video app plays ok but seems to take days to create thumbnails of movies but easy enough to find more capable apps.Wish it had a bit more internal space but 32gb is plenty I have loads of apps. Not tried gaming on it apart from Altos adventure which is fine.Good tabket..

Fantastic, fast, quality tablet.
I love this tablet, I read a review that said if you like the nexus 7 you'll love this. I loved my nexus 7 but after many years of lots of use, I really needed to upgrade. This tablet is fab, great crystal clear screen, lots of memory, light, good size especially if you want to use it for reading ebooks. And it's very fast, I've not noticed any lagging. Easy to set up out of the box. Love the blue light filter, easy on the eyes. The sound is great. No negatives for me, it meets my needs.

Bridges gap between cheap and premium tabs
Its a slow processor in a premium shell and wonderful full HD screen.Thin and light it does all I need, including playing / decoding H265 HD movies ...I don't play latest games, and if I did wouldn't do it on a tab.Its the obvious step up from ยฃ100 tabs like Amazon Fire, and those not wanting to spend ยฃ300+ on Apple or Samsung offerings. Its 16:9 screen is perfect for video, movies, books, net browsing ... unlike the silly square aspect ratios of its Samsung and Apple rivals.

Beware the promise of expandable storage.
Great tablet for the money. You will not be disappointed by its looks, screen or build quality but, despite this being an Android tablet you will be surprised by the fact that you cannot move apps to SD card (unlike every other Android phone/tablet I know). The firmware needed to just run the tablet takes up approximately 10gb, so you'll be left with the remaining 22gb (give or take). The worst thing about this predicament is that it is Huawei that has disabled its own device, thereby short changing its customers. The operating system Android 7.0 Nougat is able to move apps to SD card, but Huawei have altered the OS to produce EMUI 5.1, their own OS. It is this that does not allow the movement. I'm hoping that in the future Huawei will listen to the complaints of its customers and issue an update to the firmware reinstating the ability, until then I cannot give this tablet more than 3 stars.

Great mid-range tablet
My Hudl2 finally gave up the ghost and it's a hard device to replace. A few years on and the specs still embarrass many new tablets. The aluminum chassis is solid and doesn't bend in use. The glass screen is smooth and scrolling flawless. It can be a bit slow to mount the SD when booting but it's no big deal. The fingerprint reader is fast and the other buttons work well. I've only used it for general browsing, email, video streaming, kindle reading and so on so I can't comment on gaming performance. For my purposes though it's perfect.

Why spend a fortune?
Have had the tablet (M3 8in) for less than a day. No problems setting it up, just takes a bit of time setting up my apps.I am very happy with the build quality and it as good as my wife's ยฃ400 Samsung. It is fast enough for everyday use and after loading a video I found the screen quality is fineI did find that as other people have found, you can't transfer apps to the sd card. But if you go into settings, the sd card can be set as main storage. So music etc will download to the card. I still have about 50% memory left after downloading the apps I useAs a reference, I am over 65, male, and use Netflix and Tidal for all music.Hope this review helps anyone thinking about buying a HuaweiNote added 09/12Having great problems finding a case that fits. On the top right side of the tablet there is a light sensor. The first cover I ordered covered the sensor and so the screen went dark with it fitted. You can of course set the screen brightness manually but you lose any battery saving. The second cover was just out and out wrong. Camera hole did not line up and the case was to big. See my other reviews to avoid problems. If I find one that fits I will add a link to it 3rd time lucky???At last, a cover that fits correctly - MoKo Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 Case from amazonrevised September 19I always felt that the power socket and the power lead was a bit of a tight fit. I am now a bit concerned the charging could cause damage to the pcb. I contacted Amazon technical help but I am convinced the guy i was in touch with the had know idea what i was talking about. I was finally but in touch with huawei direct and have arranged to have the tablet returned to them for inspection. I must say that talking to huawei direct was one of the most painful experiences i have had. The problem is that both amazon and huawei dont appear to uk based personnel in these departments and the lack of English and so understanding is very limited. I am sorry to say that if you are thinking about buying a bit of tech you are better off going to a supplier such as John Lewis where support is uk based
