Then watch it glow in the dark and imagine you're out in space looking down on the amazing solar system! Fun for kids
Decent little project to do with the kids for not a lot of money. Easy to put together and the kids enjoyed painting the planets. You really need to sand the plastic down well before painting, which is easier said than done on those tiny textured balls. Yeah, you heard what I said. This isn't a beautiful planetarium you're going to have around for years to come but it is a fun activity to do with the kids while teaching them about the planets.

Fun to paint and build.
This is good fun for kids! We love the learning activities like this one that are multisensory, and give us the opportunity to learn something really well the first time - largely because our daughter gets really involved and the multisensory component really helps solidify the lesson in her brain. It was easy to get out and put together and paint and comes in a small box. I kind of wish my daughter hadn't seen it because it would fit perfectly in her stocking, and Christmas is coming. All in all this is a good little planetarium for younger kids who won't be able to care for a more expensive model. Also good for homeschool kids who like or need that multisensory component to solidify their learning.

Great for kids!
We love it but would like it to include glow in the dark paint in the future. Our 5 year old grandson loves it and knows all the planets and their position in relation to the sun!

You have to sand the planets.
While my son loves painting it, it required sanding of all the planets. It was also smaller that I expected but I didn't read the dimensions so could be my fault. The pain 8 did not dry smoothly bc we did a poor job on sanding the planets bc he is a child.

Lots of fun!
Really nice 3D replica of the solar system. Lots of fun painting the planets. The construction could be a little sturdier.
