Sopwith Camel complete vintage model rubber band powered balsa wood aircraft kit

A bit complex for beginners, given the lack of clarity in some of the instructions and the rather bizarre way in which the parts were laid out in both the plans and the balsa sheets. The suggested use of paper parts for the fuselage was disappointing, far too fiddly and virtually not guide how to fit them. The laser cut parts were mostly easy to remove, but some of the smaller parts broke when removing them. The motor assembly instructions are particularly vague.The kit includes tissue for covering the wings and fuselage, and a small - but adequate bottle of rapid setting balsa glue in a very neat dropper bottle. You will need to supply 'super glue', a glue stick (Pritt type) and epoxy adhesive, as well as dope for the tissue (oh, and paint of course).I guess that I must have done something wrong in the build as it flies like a wounded turkey! Under motor power (elastic band) it spirals. The advice given on trimming it for flight is to look on you Tube!!Many hours passed, nice static model completed, but not what I was hoping for.

My husband has wanted to have a hobby as he has a little more time now, and this has come up trumps. It arrived on time , he is happy with the instructions , all good , happy days .

It appears to be a well designed and interesting kit.

Very accurately cut kit suitable for all abilities, a great finish as is or add as much detail as you fancy. Other kits by vintage model company are also excellent.
