My go-to water conditioner for years—works brilliantly (dosing may be tricky for small tanks)
Setting up a healthy environment for fish means dealing with tap water safety straight away, and this conditioner does an excellent job of neutralising chlorine and heavy metals without clouding up the tank. I have used this brand for years now, and it is a complete must-have if you keep an aquarium. Having never had a single issue with it, I have not even bothered looking at alternative treatments as I am totally confident in how well it works. The biggest advantage is how concentrated the formula is compared to standard high-street aquatic treatments. A single bottle lasts a remarkably long time because you only need a tiny amount per water change. In my 75-litre tank, dosing isn't an issue at all and it works exceptionally well. However, I can certainly appreciate how measuring out the right amount for smaller desktop setups or nano tanks could be a bit more tricky given how potent it is. Once the dosage is sorted, the results speak for themselves. The fish stay active, water tests come back clean, and there are no strange chemical smells or murky residues left behind after a routine top-up. It works out considerably cheaper in the long run than purchasing smaller, pre-diluted bottles from pet shops—though if you do have a very small tank or nano setup, you may want to consider those pre-diluted options just to make getting the dosing exact that little bit easier. For anyone managing tanks or simply wanting a reliable, cost-effective tap safe treatment, this is a brilliant addition to the maintenance kit. Highly recommended!

Works well
Added to a small fresh water tank and has immediately improved water quality. Dosing instructions are easy to follow. This is a very small tank and we only needed 2.5ml so this bottle is going to last a long time.

Good price but ball mechanism doesn't seem to work
The ball mechanism didn't work in the bottle I got, so it poured way too much liquid when I first used it. It's supposed to only pour from the top section, but with that not working you'll need to use something else to measure out the liquid. Apart from that I'm happy with it as it was cheaper than other options

Fabulous stuff
Ive brought about five and just got another. The best tap safe out there. Doesnt smell weird and never had such healthy tanks (I have five tanks) than when I started using this. Took a few bottles before I realised how the ball stopper measure thing works! Felt a but of an idiot after doing lots of shaking and trying to move the ball before realising you just squeeze it 😅 I keep aquatic frogs and fish and shrimp and all thrive with this. Also i dont really measure the amount I use - I definitly over dose with a good squirt in each refill water jug, as Im hopeless with measurments but this stuff is so good it doesnt harm at all. Infact does the opposite.

Great value, multi-purpose additive.
I haven’t owned an aquarium for all that long, and like many beginners, I neglected to do my research first. Unfortunately the staff at the local pet supermarket didn’t advise me about nitrates, cycling, testing, or any of the other fairly essential things you need when keeping fish. I now have all of the essentials, but only through trial and error and sadly, a few dead fish. If you’re going to keep fish in a tank you need to understand that fish poop, and fish food and poop rot. When they rot, they give off ammonium. Ammonium is poisonous. When enough ‘good’ bacteria develop, they turn this into nitrate and nitrite (also toxic, but slightly less so). This can be managed by further bacterial development, but also through regular water changes and chemical intervention. Now, the other think which does fish in is tap water, or more specifically, the chlorine contained within the tapwater. This I already knew, so I bought a bottle of over-the-counter ‘tap safe’ style product which only serves to take out metals and chlorine. This was very expensive from that same certain pet supermarket. I haven’t got any complaints about that product, but it’s not cheap, and it does nothing to aid your nitrate cycling. This, on the other hand is dirt cheap when bought in bulk, and does the same thing and more. It zaps the chlorine and the metals instantly. It also includes aloe-vera to aid the fish with their own mucous coatings, and importantly is bio-active – i.e. it contains a dose of those ‘good’ bacteria to help kick your nitrate cycle into action. I can confirm, having tested tap water before and after use, that it nukes the chlorine, and helps bring the PH into line. As for the nitrates/nitrites, this isn’t an overnight fix, but in addition to other products I have bought, it seems to be doing the right thing. I happily paid full price for this product, and believe it represents excellent value when compared to the cost of much smaller bottles from the shops. It is also dirt cheap compared to re-stocking your tank if your fish all die off. Like I say, I’m a beginner, but if I can help with any questions, please leave them in the comments, and/or use the voting buttons. Thanks for reading.
