Amazing, sorry I haven't tried Mikrotik before
Fantastic little switch, 2x 10Gb SFP+ ports and 8x 1Gb PoE+ ports and silent, lovely job, just wish they'd do a 2.5Gb version

Great hardware, but a couple gotchas with the config interface
Works well. Generally, the configuration works well enough. Coming from cisco hardware, the vlan config took a minute to get used to, but the docs explain it well.My main issue was with setting up access to the config interface. If you set "allow from vlan" for the configuration interface, the switch only accepts connections from *tagged* traffic, not access ports that are set to that specific vlan. This makes access control difficult on my network layout. Additionally, if the switch gets an address from dhcp, connections are only allowed to that address from traffic tagged with the vlan that it received the dhcp address from. Connections are still allowed on all vlans to the fallback address. This probably doesn't matter for most people since I doubt many people are using dhcp.If they gave you some additional granularity for access control to the web interface this switch would be perfect for it's use case.

Incompatible with sfp router
I cannot get this switch to connect to my mikrotik rb960pgs router using the sfp and sfp+ ports on these devices.I contacted customer service and was told that this is a know issue and might be solved in a later firmware revision. But based on the age of the current SWos firmware I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.I have found several compatibility issues in this regard with other sfp+ modules as well even though they say they are mikrotik compatible.I strongly suggest you look at routerOS products only from mikrotik. This is unfortunate because the price and features of this switch are exactly what I was looking for.

Love.
I love MikroTik just as much Cisco. Great switches at a affordable price( not Cisco price lol). I’m a AV guy and I put them in when ever I can.
