A surprising turn of events
I enjoyed reading this book and one of the main reasons for that - and I have said this before in my reviews, is because I like to style of Sian Turner and I think she has an exceptional way of putting words together. Her command of English is quite lovely and she seems to have a talent for explaining feelings and emotion and putting them into words. The main focus of the book is not a topic that I am particularly interested in or have any experience of. That is teaching, the role of teaching assistants, dyslexia and the methods for establishing it and designing frameworks for how it can be tackled. I felt that I was out of my depth here but what lay in the background was a hidden talent that the writer didn’t dwell on too much so I persisted with it. I was more than pleased because the novel tales an altogether and surprising turn and, I will not say what that scenario is but it adds a great deal of intrigue to the plot and makes the book a real page turner from the consistent Ms Turner.I can recommend this book without a doubt.Well done Sian Turner - what comes next?

Another wonderful story
A lovely heartwarming story about a young girl using her strange power to do good for others. After struggling with chapter 1, I put it down several times before finishing the prologue and the 1st chapter, I was hooked and read the rest in one sitting.I would thoroughly recommend this book and whilst you are it get the rest of Sian Turners books as they are all great.

A thoroughly entertaining story with a unique and thought provoking theme.
A lovely tale about extra-sensory perception with a difference with well rounded characters and entirely feasible. Well written and structured, you could easily be lulled into thinking it was a work of non-fiction.

I have just finished reading this wonderfully warm and thought provoking novel - what would it be like if beyond our normal sensing of how others feel we had a super sense and just like an electric current we could channel the vibes of others and experience their true emotions? Sian Turner has sensitively placed this scenario within a school and shows a good knowledge of dyslexia and the emotional toll it takes on students. There are also themes of romance and friendship which are refreshingly innocent and honest. The reader is at once drawn into an intimate confidence with the main character which brings an understanding and immediate connection. Highly recommended.

A Good Story and Food for Thought
This is an interesting and intriguing story with a twist. The characters come alive, and the plot gathers pace to build to a gripping climax. It is a real page turner, a good story, and makes you think about how we read one another emotionally in our lives.
