Perfect for the job in question
Having read the reviews on a number of options to address the task or bleeding my brakes on my Boardman Pro I opted for this kit and happy to say it did the job perfectly. The syringes and components all seem well made and of high quality and the price was at least half that of the "suggested" kit i use and a quarter of the cost i was quoted at my local cycle shop for them to do it for me.The difficult part is the process of bleeding which if its your first time can seem a little complex, however this would be the same process with whatever kit you buy and the instructions enclosed are word perfect, if you can read and want to do it yourself this kit is the perfect solution for you, and saves your hard earned dosh in the process.

Happy, but consider a couple extra purchases - Happy that I did
Very nice kit - better instructions online from Epic - laughed when they said 19 easy steps! I highly recommend buying the brake bleed block separately. A bit pricey, but it always good to have the right tool, even if a bit more. I completely understand why they don't include the Avid Bleed Block due to cost (and probably other reasons), but It would be better if this was clearly recommended. Avid Bleed Block for Elixir Bike Disc Brake or note that you can build your own - obviously not a swish as this. I just think most people would spend the extra to get the real deal. Saved me as I had some issues with the pistons being extended and needed to push back in. I am glad I bought a bike repair stand at the same time - bleeding brakes without one would be painful. Do It Yourself 👌
So easy to use with such easy instructions to follow and without taking my wheel off, i watched loads of YouTube videos and they just make you do so many steps that are not needed just stick to instructions. So much better for the money the only difference with this cheaper bleeding kit is it doesn't say Avid on the syringes and you get free oil with this kit, i saved myself over £50 in buying the kit and over £50 doing the bleeding myself which a child could do in my opinion. Do it yourself don't go to your local branch of (Hal) con artist's who wanted so much £ for me to find out they was on the make an i fixed all myself no thanks to (Half). I would definitely recommend these kits an don't be afraid to do it yourself

Brakes up and running again - better than new
Ordered on Saturday evening as bike need for Sunday afternoon. Pack arrived Sunday morning. I downloaded the instructions from the website which had a little more detail. I followed the instructions which were clear and couldn't believe that it all worked first time (with new brake pads ordered separately). The brakes felt better than when first bought. Very happy.

Good value for money but vital components missing
I bought this kit to bleed my Elixir 5 brakes. I would've been able to complete the process first try, had I not overlooked the fact that there were NO SEALS on the screw caps. This led to air being continueously drawn in from the bleedport when trying to extract air bubbles from the system - impossible. The kit only functioned once I had manufactured a pair of my own seals for the end of the screw caps, using a small and robust spare-rubber seal. I cannot understand how the product manufacturer expects this kit to work without seals, and anyone who is new to this procedure will no doubt run into extreme difficulty.

Easy
Perfect kit for the job. Easy instructions to follow even for a first timer like me

Check if compatible with Code brakes.
The media could not be loaded. Did the job. For Code brakes, I needed a different fitting for the syringe , that fortunately I had from a universal set.Otherwise ok.

Epic indeed!
This kit is superb!I took the plunge and decided to bleed my Avid Trail 7's myself. My local bike shop surprisingly fobbed me off that they could not guarantee they could bleed my brakes and would probably charge me more if it took longer than 15 minutes to do. Apparently they prefer Shimano ones.So I read the instructions several times and watched the Youtube videos. Having a bit of technical knowhow will help of course. The result is I managed to do my front and rear brakes with ease, and it took about 40 minutes. Perfect! There is about enough DOT 5.1 to use twice on both brakes. Don't rush and follow the instructions exactly. It comes without a bleed block.Tip: Be careful where you put the grub screws that cover the bleed ports on the calliper, I almost lost mine due to a gust of wind.
