Best Sensor cleaner for sure, better than Visible Dust !
Best Sensor cleaner for sure, better than Visible Dust !Used this to clean the sensors on my pro DSLR cameras. Nikon D4 and Nikon D800.Both cameras are used daily for pro work. (sometimes in dusty horse arenas)The gel stick is simple to use, dab it on the sensor and watch the dust come off. When you put the gel on the sticky paper I was surprised how much dirt was on it.This is much easier way to clean your sensor and very effective. So how does it compare to wet clean swabs such as Visible Dust ?With Visible dust i found it would leave streaks on the sensor, and I would need to use several swabs to get a good clean sensor.Eyelead did a brilliant job considering how dirty the sensor had got over a long summer of intense use.The first complete dab of the sensor picked up alot of dirt, dab'd the gel on sticky paper. Second dab of sensor and no spots visible at all.Test setupNikon D4/D800 Iso 100, Tamron SP 90mm 1:1 f2.8 prime macro lens at f45, tripod, white piece of a4 paper. Before cleaning, dirt clearly visible in shots. After cleaning, nothing visible at all, fantastic. Pure white.Using this product cleaning is faster and easier.I have total confidence in using it, no damage was caused to the sensor at all.I would advise buying the extra sticky pads if you will be cleaning your sensor often. To clean one full frame sensor used up 1 pad, the sensor was very dirty to start with.As it is so easy to use and extremely effective I am happy to clean my sensor more often. Normally I would clean it every 6 monthsNow every 3 months as its simple to do.

3 Spotless sensors in under 15 minutes
After waiting for what seemed ages to receive this via Amazon Prime delivery it finally arrived and WOW!! It's absolutely amazing how quick and easy it is to clean your dslr sensors with. I cleaned my D3,my D300 and my D5100 sensors in under 15 minutes and what a difference. First off I was a bit paranoid about sticking this inside my D3 and as a result I didn't properly clean it 1st time around as I was afraid to press down on the sensor too hard, but on building up the courage to press harder 2nd go with the D3 the results were amazing, honestly no S**T absolutely fantastic results and believe me my sensor was filthy. The hardest part for me was actually cleaning the gel stick off with the sticky paper between cleans. As I said this was ordered via prime on 17/09/15 and only arrived today when it should've arrived on the 18/09/15 however let me state here and now Amazon were absolutely great cause when I contacted them about this they said if it hadn't arrived by Saturday then they'd issue me a full refund and then when the item does arrive I can keep compliments of Amazon, and true to their word they refunded me yesterday and the eye lead arrived this morning so my hat is off to Amazon. I've dropped one star off due to length of time it took to arrive, although I stress this wasn't Amazons fault. So if you've been having doubts about wether you want to use this on your expensive dslr then doubt no longer as its a piece of cake. I've actually done some pretty extensive research into this sensor gel stick and it's what Nikon,Canon,Leica and other camera manufacturers are using to clean your sensor when it's sent to them for cleaning,so why pay £50 and more for some camera shop such as Jessops etc to clean your sensor when you can do it yourself. Ok,it's a costly item considering how cheap and flimsy it looks, but I've cleaned 3 sensors this morning in about 15 minutes which would've cost me roughly £150 in a shop to have done,so,go figure,in fact don't go figure, just go buy it you won't regret it I assure you.

Essential tool for dust removal.
Excellent and probably essential tool for cleaning sensors. Some reviewers have suggested the first use of the gel pad left marks on their sensor, but this isn't an issue if you initially clean the pad before using it for the first time using one of the supplied cleaning strips. If in doubt use the pad on a non-critical surface such as a neutral density filter first to see if it will leave marks. Mine didn't, before or after using a cleaning strip. So far I've successfully cleaned the dust from a Canon 5D, 6D and a 5D Mk4 with no marks or residue left, and in a fraction of the time taken to wet-clean a sensor. The instructions are quite basic but then it's hardly a complex device. The supplied cleaning strips should be good for around ten single uses per strip (based on the surface area). The manufacturer advice is to not reuse the strips, but I found during testing that as long as the cleaning strip sticks to the gel pad it's doing its job pulling contaminants from the pad. Several strips are supplied anyway and should last a good while, even when following the manufacturer's single-use recommendation.Obviously there are certain contaminants such as oil/grease that this simply isn't designed to deal with, and a proper wet-clean is required for those situations, but dust is the main issue most people face and this is the quickest and simplest system I've come across. Around £30 may seem expensive but it's considerably cheaper than sending a camera body away for service - and you only need to buy it once. Highly recommended. One other thing, I also recommend using a loupe (illuminated, ideally) so you can clearly see what and where the contaminants lie on the sensor.
