Fiskars Clip-Sharp Scissors Sharpener, Total Length: 4 cm, plastic, 1000812

My wife has a few sets of Fiskars scissors so i got her one of these as some needed sharpening, very simple to use and noticed a big difference in cutting just after a few draws of the blades in the device. I also sharpened all the other scissors in our house and all are very good now, even sets i should have thrown away got a new lease of life by sharpening on this device. Excellent device and does its job very well.

Easy to use, but can't cope with really big scissors . Ideal for most household scissors and will give back a sharp cutting edge to even badly blunted blades with a minimum of effort. Recommended.

Small plastic case with two angled steels. Standard arrangement. It does what it says on the tine (plastic). I found another type in Lidle later which had three types of sharpening "things" which was even more effective

I have a 20 year old pair of Fiskars dress making scissors which have been abused for cutting paper etc for at least a decade. So, blunt as hell. I ummed and ahhed between just buying a new pair, or getting a sharpener. The sharpener was £5 cheaper so I went for it. It works really well, my old scissors are now as sharp as ever. Well worth having one of these, even though it doesn't feel like a lot for the money.

Product was delivered reasonably fast and is well made, it seems to work ok to keep scissors sharp but doesn’t work very well on blunt ones, tried unsuccessfully to sharpen my old blunt scissors but regardless of how many times i tried this product would not produce an edge sharp enough to cleanly cut fabric and had to have my scissors professionally sharpened, it’s possibly ok if you only use on paper scissors or to use to keep the sharp edge if scissors are already sharp and the unit is easier to use than the smaller units do to the housing being larger

I have had a pair of Fiskars kitchen scissors for twenty odd years and have used them to cut just about everything, and never had to sharpen them. I bought the Fiskars sharpener because I know they are a good company and wanted to sharpen all my other scissors, and I was not let down. This is an excellent product, very easy to use would recommend to anyone wanting to put new life into blunt scissors. Well worth the little cost. All the buyers leaving reviews saying it doesnt work are clearly not using it properly. All you have to do is open your scissors, place the blades into the sharpener, then close the scissors while withdrawing them from the sharpener using a little force so the blades touch the sharpening stone/edge. You may have to repeat several times, but like with me it will result in razor sharp scissors, sharp enough to cut silk, chiffon and any other fabrics. I have sharpened 17 pairs of scissors that are used for all kinds of projects, (yes, I think I have a scissor fetish!) with brilliant results. Excellent value for the money

J'avais déjà testé un autre aiguiseur qui avait ruiné certains de mes ciseaux, même des Fiskars ! Bref, plus aucune paire de ciseaux ne coupait correctement, j'en était à me demander où trouver un rémouleur, sur un marché, mais lequel ? quand avoir le temps de les apporter ? Toute découpe même d'un simple bout de papier devenait pénible, sans parler de toutes ces étiquettes géantes qu'on trouve à présent, anti-vol ou autres qui grattent dans les vêtements. J'ai même acheté de nouveaux ciseaux tellement c'était crispant et j'ai viré mon premier aiguiseur totalement nul sans regret. Après l'achat de ces nouveaux ciseaux sans marque, je regrettais tout de même mes anciens Fiskars qui, eux, coupaient super bien quand ils étaient neufs par rapport à eux, c'était rageant. Comme sur Amazon, on trouve de tout, j'ai déniché ce petit appareil de chez Fiskars. Je n'avais plus rien à perdre, et puis si l'aiguisage était aussi mauvais que le précédent, je pourrais au moins le retourner. Donc, j'ai tenté et testé. Pas évident tout de même de trouver le bon mouvement, puisqu'il n'y a aucune explication. Ok, après avoir trouvé les bons gestes, on peut reconnaître que ce n'est pas très compliqué. Sauf qu'au début j'y allais trop doucement donc le résultat était peu convaincant. De rage, j'ai ouvert et refermé les ciseaux plus fort, et là tout c'est arrangé ! Donc depuis ce petit appareil, TOUS mes ciseaux (en métal bien entendu) coupent à merveille, des petits pour le découpage des papiers, à ceux avec lesquels on avait coupé du câble électrique par facilité, en passant par mes Fiskars qui ne coupaient plus le plastique ni le papier. Et oui, il y a parfois ''quelques petites'' différences entre certaines marques, là c'est énorme !!! Soit vous entrez les ciseaux à fond dans l'appareil et vous les retirez en refermant vivement, et recommencez plusieurs fois jusqu'à obtention d'une coupe parfaite. Soit vous aiguisez en entrant les ciseaux, et ainsi vous obtenez un aiguisage plus performant de la pointe. Au total : entièrement satisfaisant, même mes ciseaux sans marque coupent beaucoup mieux que lors de leur achat ! Je recommande volontiers cet article, petit et pourtant terriblement efficace.

J'affûte (et des fois aiguise) beaucoup de couteaux, ciseaux ,haches, cisailles, sécateurs etc; pour pas mal de personnes de mon quartier (j'ai appris tout gamin et ai travaillé dans le domaine forestier donc...), certains me surnomme le "rémouleur" mais les ciseaux c'est toujours un peu délicat (comme les sécateurs)et s'il s'agit d'effectuer un petit entretient, c'est outil est parfait, affûter des ciseaux est à la portée de tous. Fiskars est une marque renommée et ce n'est pas pour rien.

This sharpener works really well and is easy to use. Scissors blades go in each slot, and you close them like you are cutting paper. After doing that a bout 4 or 5 times they are wonderfully sharp, like new!
