do you think this will fit a 12 year olds hand ??

I think so. It's the size of a regular American Football.

It's a very good ball, I've had it for over a year now and he is still as good as new. As long as you take care of it, it will last a long time... Don't play on concrete only grass and it won't scuff either. Enjoy...

Does the ball come inflated or do I need a pump too ?

Comes deflated, youll need a pump and valve to inflate. Good quality ball.

Is this ball the size of an NFL ball or a bit smaller like an NCAA ball?

No. This is a mini football, smaller than the youth size.
