There are much better cat toys out there than this one. Firstly, it’s noisy so I got sick of hearing it all the time, especially as my cat worked out how to boop the button so it turns on. It’s also poorly made as the stick gets stuck constantly under the material and also falls out very easily. It takes C sized batteries, not the cheapest out there, which run out quite quickly. I only had this toy for a few weeks for my cat and it went in the bin as I was sick of having to constantly put the stick back it when it fell out or pull it out from being trapped under the material.The only redeeming features are the random function, which keeps my cat entertained, and the 15 minute timer so that it turns off automatically.My cat has gotten more fun, mental stimulation and longevity out of much cheaper toys.

The one I got didn't match the descriptions - it only had one speed setting, unlike 4 as described in this advert. Very disappointing, as it was one of the reasons why I had chosen this model. Mine came in exactly the same package as in the pic, so I am quite sure I got the right version of the item. The cover was also very creased and of poor quality. My cats didn't show much enthusiasm towards this, although they felt obliged a little at first. I also didn't like the idea of having to stock Type C batteries exclusively for this. (that's why I had been hesitant to buy Cat's Meow for years too).I so wanted to like this toy, as I had bought another similar one (Ferplast Predator Cat Toy), which cost twice as much, but I hadn't found it perfect. However, unfortunately, I had to send this back, as the weaknesses overweighed the strengths (Amazon was brilliant to handle my return, as usual).To be fair, strengths of this product are: (a) cheap; (b) quiet (doesn't make nasty noise like Ferplast when the cat is on the way of the wand; (c) the wand doesn't come off so easily as Ferplast.

our cats love this toy, they play with it for a good couple of hours a day ! However, it only has one speed (not 4 settings) and the battery holder is slightly smaller than standard.This is not a problem if you use the C type batteries but is a problem if you try using AA batteries with the EBL spacers as they don’t fit.

Bought this for my 2 cats, the more sensitive one doesn't like it and was initially a bit freaked out. The other one however, absolutely loves it, which is good because she's a little on the tubby side.Construction is your standard Made in China™ low quality plastic, but tough enough to survive abuse from a cat. Doesn't come with batteries.It's the motor that really shows with this toy, where it will detect resistance a move the other way, automatically switch directions to shake it up, and even stop and start itself to confuse any cats playing with it. If a cat grabs ahold of the fake mouse, it'll stop and try moving again in a few seconds, so as to not waste itself.Good stuff

Took a little bit of getting use to as the Cats were startled by the noise. Now the try and chase the tail even if it's not moving. Can't say much for durability etc., as not had it long but it seems sturdy enough.

Obtained one of these a few years ago, the cats loved it, sadly the kids broke it the cats gutted and kept sitting on broken parts. So had to get another one. A good product and keeps cats amused.

Bought for a kitten. Didn't work till wide welded back on . Colour was red not as picture. Disappointed it only had one speed .

Bit whistly with the rod whizzing around under nylon cover, cat didn't like it so passed on to someone with pair of braver cats
