One of the best cleaning additives you can get
I am using this in a Jaguar X-type 2.0 diesel (Euro-IV) in conjunction with Forte's turbo cleaner additive. I've had to remove and ultrasonically-clean the injectors in this car, along with removing and cleaning or replacing the EGR valve, approximately every 50,000 miles due to deposits coking everything up. Each time it needs doing I get the same symptoms - the car jerks like a kangaroo on light throttle cruise, sometimes behaves as if it were a misfiring petrol car, lots of smoke out of the tailpipe, loss of power and fuel economy, very obvious turbo-lag... Sure enough when I pull it apart I have black gunge in the EGR-valve and cement-like crud on the injectors. An additional symptom I had this time round was that on two isolated occasions, the turbo failed to actuate until the car was switched off and on again, and the ECU registered a turbo-related fault code. I suspect this was probably deposits coking everything up.Obviously pulling the injectors out is a bit of a pain to do, and can leave your car out of action for a while. Ultrasonic cleaning or new injectors is also quite expensive, and EGR valves aren't cheap either. I dread to think how much a new turbo costs. I therefore thought I'd give this stuff a go to see if it would do anything. Everyone I know in the trade seems to swear by it.First things first, it definitely cleans the crud out of the system. For the first half-tank that I ran with this stuff in, I was getting even more smoke, especially when accelerating harshly. I think this is the various deposits gradually getting removed and shot out of the exhaust! I'm now down to just a quarter of a tank of fuel left, and the car is smoking much less, in fact it appears to be burning nearly as cleanly as when it was new. The "kangaroo-effect" has been reduced significantly, and I haven't noticed it on my very last trip. Power definitely seems back up, and whilst fuel economy isn't spectacular, it's above 40mpg again. The turbo hasn't stopped working again either. Once I've got to the end of the tank I'm going to blank off the EGR-valve with a piece of sheet steel and start using better-quality fuel, so hopefully these problems won't arise again.Your experience may vary, but it's worth trying this additive because it worked in my case and could save you the cost of new parts (or specialist cleaning) (plus removal/refitting labour if you aren't a mechanic).

My local independent BMW garage are pretty set on Forte products so id like to think ...
This is one of those products that's hard to review . Odds are you will NOT see any obvious immediate change in your car from using this which can lead you to question why bother . All i know is , my BMW 320D now has 130k on the clock and has had NO work done on the engine at all ever, and i sometimes use this product , that said I'm very frequent with oil changes , i monitor my DPF filter regularly and generally look after the motor well. Weather or not this product has helped i don't know , but it's part of my "recipe" for a long life engine so i wont stop using it now. My local independent BMW garage are pretty set on Forte products so id like to think it's worth it.The only other justification is u like petrol , some cheap diesel has some crappy additives to make it cost effective and instead of buying premium diesel i just use this every year or so and seem to do the trick . My injectors are fine , my emissions systems are fine and so is my turbo . It is worth knowing thought that any "cleaner" type product is usually designed to breakdown build up of carbon/oil/sludge the like , sometimes on old engines that haven't been well maintained , these deposits are actually sealing leaks and broke seals , so if you COULD end up exposing damaged seals and other parts potentially.

Bought as prevention, so far only proof is no fuel system issues
I have an 11 reg BMW F11 525d 3.0 at 428000 km or app. 266000 miles. It is ticking like clockwork and is still on the same/original injectors, etc. that I bought it with five years ago, at app 160000 km. I bought Forte Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment as a preventative measure and all I can say is that my only proof that it works is a lack of issues and the high mileage the engine is at. I couldn't ask for more, really.

Surprisingly good. No fuel economy improvement but engine smoother and less EGR stalling
I purchased this to improve economy on a Hilux 3.0. The economy did not change, however I have had problems with loss of power caused by the EGR being erratic and after one tank, the EGR problem has settled down after using this.

Forte Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment (400ml)
My Land-Rover Defender has been sluggish for quite a while now and I had put it down to just being a Land-Rover. However, a friend who also has a Defender told me about this product and how good it was so I purchased a 400ml bottle and put it in the fuel tank. Well I didn't expect a lot, but I was very surprised indeed. Slightly better fuel consumption, much more responsive, better pulling away and much less noisy. What a difference, I'm very impressed and will continue to use it.

I had a cold misfire on my diesel TT, I tried all the big name products. They helped while in the tank, after that the misfire returned, this was no different despite Forte being the go to brand.I was basically facing a Β£1000 bill for new injectors, then I tried Liqui Moly Diesel Purge, the problem never came back after one treatment

It works
Bought a used BMW 116d and added a bottle of this and the Forte Diesel Turbo Cleaner into half a tank of diesel. After about 100 miles the cars performance was noticeably much better. Weeks later and the car is still driving great. Will continue to use this as preventive maintenance every 6 months.
