Good value
I bought it to see if it could fix 25 unreadable ps2 games and it got 18/25 to work. It got rid of small to mid scratches and made some of the deeper ones less visible but they are still there. So far I have ran 125 other games through it to fix cosmetic looks. The first kit will do a good job until the pads wear down around the 55 time using them. But the refill kits are affordable. I am pleased with how easy it is to use and it is a bit loud but I was playing with it next to me and it becomes just white noise.

It works great!
Easy to use. It is nosey. It did help with one dvd that had two bad scratches, it works better now but not there yet. Need to run through a few more times. Need to get replacement pads, there bad now. It works great on dvds, bluerays, and music cds. Haven't done on games yet.

Save Your Money
Save your money and just send it to a company that will clean your disc with a proper machine. I understood that this seemed too good to be true so I tried it on a disc I had a copy of and man o man this thing is worse than advertised. It won't COMPLETELY ruin your disc but it sure will get close. My disc (a ps2 game) still works but it chugs along worse than when I didn't use this cleaner. It will leave circular scratches all over your disc. The instructions are very clear about how much to use which cycle to be on and how long it takes very easy to follow but they all end in your disc being scratched. I could be misinterpreting what discs it is meant for so maybe it's only single layer CDs. I don't really want to use more discs to try this out so I'll let someone else be the victim here. TLDR: don't buy this

Sure, why not. Might as well learn something
In my opinion, worth the $50. I have made 25 un-readable discs readable again so far and have 20 more games and 250 movies to keep doing. Could it be better? Sure, but it works and it was cheaper than some other options. No, it won't take the crease out of a disc, yes I tired. But it will take gross, unreadable scratches out. Is it noisy? Yes, put it on something soft and put a pillow or blanket over (it helps, dont push on the cover!). Does it leave fine scratches? Yes, but the more you buff and clean, the better it will look. Worked on my gamecube games (the small disc), wii games, xbox 360 games, and regular dad's (I haven't tried blueray). Follow the directions and make sure to buff at least twice before using the cleaning step (I found it to read a bit better). Be patient, it's science, not magic. I think that it would be more worth the $50 is if they sent 2 more of each pad and an extra bottle of each solution. I would recommend this over paying $10 per disc at the local game store

Revived my Gamecube Game!
I'm an old school gamer; for the last few years i was using the Aleratec disc repair system to fix any discs that were having issues. unfortunately my machine got used so much that the polishing pads are now scratching up my discs. recently this happened and I thought it had permanently killed my copy of "Super Smash bros Melee" for the Nintendo Gamecube because the game gave me a DRE (Disc read error) message on both my Gamecube and my backwards compatible Wii. I bought the procare machine to replace the Aleratec because the refill pads are no longer available for the Aleratec. it took two rounds of buffering, polishing, cleaning and a final coat of Renaissance wax, and it revived my game! Im so happy, so thank you, ProCare!

It Will Not Save Your Deep-Scratched DVDs
What I like It runs as advertised. The powered base spins, the brushes buff, the spray cleans. The mechanical kit does what a mechanical kit is supposed to do. It brought back a couple of our discs. A few of the lighter-scratch DVDs, the ones where the eye could barely see the scratch, came back and still play. The kit is real for the discs it works on. It visibly cleans the surface. Even on the discs it does not fully fix, the surface looks more polished after a run. Dirt comes off. Surface scuffs come off. The disc ends up looking better than when it started. The brush set has three grades. Lighter and harder brushes, matched to scratch depth. The kit lets you pick the right brush for the disc rather than forcing one brush on every job. Powered, not hand-rub. The motorized base removes the fatigue of hand-polishing. You do not have to put muscle into it. Set the disc, run the cycle, flip, run the other side. It runs for a minute or two per cycle. Short cycles. You can run multiple discs in a session without it becoming a chore. What annoys me It does not fix the deep scratches. The whole reason I bought the kit was to fix deep scratches. It does not fix deep scratches. It polishes the surface but the disc still will not play. That is the failure case the listing does not lead with. Mixed results across the same stack. Some discs came back, others did not, on what looked like the same kind of scratch from the outside. There is no way to know in advance which discs will work and which will not. Some of our discs went through the kit four or five times and the player still says “disc error.” You can damage a disc if you push it. If you keep running the heavier brushes on the same spot, the disc thins. We did not push ours hard. The kit lets you push hard if you are not paying attention. The kit is not cheap. The list price is around $52 for the kit, plus refills. For a kit that may or may not save a disc, that is a lot of money per attempted save. There are cheaper alternatives that get the cleaning-right job done with a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol. The kit is the powered version of a cleaning job you can do by hand. It does not label which scratches it can and cannot fix. You find out the kit cannot fix a deep scratch only after you have run the cycle. That is after the time and the spray. The result is hard to verify visually. You run the cycle, the disc looks better, you put it in the player, the player says “disc error,” you are back where you started. The visual improvement is not a guarantee of playback. The kit is for DVDs, CDs, and Blu-ray, but the failure mode differs. DVDs are more forgiving of light scratches than Blu-rays. A scratch that a DVD will read past, a Blu-ray will not. The kit does not make that distinction in its materials. Who it is for, and who should skip it If you have a stack of lightly scratched DVDs with sentimental value, light dust, or surface scuffs, this kit will probably help. The brush set, the spray, and the powered base are the right tool for that job, and the kit does it well. If you have deeply scratched DVDs that will not load or will not play through, skip this kit. It will not bring them back. The kit polishes the surface but the player still cannot read past the scratch. You will spend $50 plus refills for a polish that does not translate to playback. You are better off re-buying the disc on eBay or seeing if the title is on a streaming service you already pay for. Skip it if you only need to clean dirt. A microfiber cloth and a small spray of cleaning solution will handle dirt for a tiny fraction of the cost. The kit is overkill for dirt alone. Buy it only if you have a stack of discs where the cleaning-plus-polish is worth the kit price. Verdict Powered disc-repair kit that cleans and lightly polishes DVDs, will not save deeply scratched ones. The kit does what it is designed to do. The design is not enough for the deep-scratch case. Grade: D—skip it unless the only thing wrong with the disc is dirt. Buy the linked listing only if cleaning is genuinely your need.

Compact, Effective, and Easy to Use
I'm very pleased with the quality and ease of use of this disk polisher. I was able to remove almost all of the surface level scratches from my most scratched DVDs. Manage expectations when trying to fully remove deep scratches, but even deep scratches were lessened when polished a couple times.

A must have for resellers.
This product is a less expensive way to repair CD's. It is loud, however it does preform well. I have salvaged some CD's that were a lost cause. I've already purchased the refill kit. A great buy for sellers that flip games and movies.
