Can you just apply the solution to wet skin with your hands instead of using a flannel or

My husband used this product 2 years ago. His GP originally prescribed a jar of the same product but it was like the texture of goose fat in a jar, but my husband found it a bit difficult to use so I bought him the shower emollient as I thought it would be easier to use in the shower or bath. I think it would be possible to use your hands instead of a flannel, but please be aware, although the product is very good, it makes bath & shower surfaces very,very slippy.

Does this shower emollient smell strongly of paraffin on the skin like the ointment? Thanks

Sorry I can't remember the smell. My husband used this for a skin complaint 6 years ago. It can't have been a particularly offensive smell or I think I would have remembered. I do know that my husband was suffering from extremely dry skin & it did work to remedy the problem.

Can you use this as a face wash also?

I think it is good if you have dry skin as a face wash ,as the face is more delicate than body skin it would be a good idea to use it on a small area for a day or two just in case of irritation .I find it fine personally.
