Happy hens! Well made & a real success with our girls!
After their initial surprising wariness of the orange hanging monster I introduced, they realised they loved it & our ten girls have been delightedly pecking at it since Christmas! We only give it them for a few hours each day or I think they would have gobbled it up! It's well made & nicely weighty. The treats fit in very well - nice & snug so they can't fall out. It smells lovely - I could even use it as a Christmas house scent - really Christmassy as it's cinnamon flavour! :) Happy hens!

Quality great, just one problem
Quality great, just one problem. My chickens don't seem to like it. Or maybe they've got too much other stuff, so I'm going to keep hoping they'll eat it soon.

I only given it a 4 because my chickens don't eat it or even bother to investigate, however, regardless of what my chickens think of it I think its a great idea for chickens that are perhaps kept in a pen or run. I think my chickens don't bother with it because they have acres to roam - gosh that sound pretentious but I don't mean it like that - they are allowed into the field next to our house with the cows.

Arrived broken...
When I got this the top was broken, but I don't know if this happened in the post or when I tried to undo the overly robust parcel. Anyway, because of this I had to hang the feeder from the first hole. I also found that when pushing the sticks through quite a lot of product gets lost, so I would advise doing this somewhere where this can be gathered up and not wasted. Having taken so much trouble I then found the hens didn't pay much attention to it.

The chickens dont like it...
Love the idea and the design - BUT - the chickens did not touch the chick sticks once.

Great product but unfortunately no interest at all from my girls.
I bought this for my eight girls, (five of whom are ex battery Hens). I have heard that chickens can get a little bored if they are not stimulated so this looked like the perfect boredom tool. The product is very high quality and comes with six sticks which was packaged securely. The sticks seem to have absolutely no smell. The product is orange which definitely got a lot of beady eyes looking at it. (which I thought was great).I hung the product at about 12 inch off the ground to allow the chickens the ability to reach a little but not to much, but to my shock the girls were not and have not touched this at all.The product has the makings of something good but unfortunately for me my girls were not interested, I will give three stars for the quality but due to the lack of interest it is only another ornament for my girls.

Great idea.
Great idea for shut in chickens who are used to being outside. It scared them at first, but they got curious and now enjoy it and it stops boredom amongst them.

Stopped my hen pecking
My bottom ranked hen was getting her feathers on her head pecked. We tried every tip online and nothing helped, despite super amount of space. Until we found chick sticks. My little bullied hen is now featherfull. My chickens also prefer to stay in the run pecking at this than to freerange! Worth every penny for happy chickens.
