I actually bought this for my iPad, as I already use a Logitech Alto Connect for my 15" Macbook Pro. However, as I tend to work 'out of the office' on many occasions, taking the Logitech (with bluetooth keyboard and magic trackpad) was not an option, due to it's bulk.As an experiment I tried this Hebron stand with my 15" Macbook Pro, and it worked brilliantly. Sturdy enough and keeps the laptop screen at the right height (stand is adjustable). I can now pack everything into my messenger bag, and take my 'office' with me. Only problem is now I'm left without a stand for my iPad again :)The stand itself seems very well engineered. Easy to open up by pressing side button. It also locks in different positions, allowing you to position your laptop / iPad at various angles. It's also easy enough to close up and pack away in it's draw string bag. Nice and compact.As for the supplier, Leicke, they were super quick with their delivery and arrived next day via Amazon Prime <- I'm so addicted to this, that I keep buying stuff... Don't tell the wife.All in all, a 5* product. Me loves it...UPDATE AFTER 3 YEARS OF USE...The stand is still going strong. It's been in constant use for some time. I've now used it for a non-retina 15" Macbook Pro, retina 15" Macbook Pro, and a couple of 14" PC laptops. My wife has actually been using it to angle her laptop slightly, to make it easier to type on, and loves it. It's sturdy enough to hold the laptop still while she types on it.All in all this is one sturdy piece of kit, and has been rock solid for over 3 years now since we bought it.

Back in 2014 I bought two of these via Amazon but from a different supplier (AAA). They were great; solid, sturdy, surprisingly heavyweight. One stayed on my desk, the other travelled with me. Inevitably the travelling one broke - no surprise considering 2 years of chucking in and out of suitcases, aeroplane holds, taxis etc. I immediately looked for a replacement and found only this version available. Even though the design and packaging appears identical to my original two this one is terrible. It is lightweight, flimsy, very unstable and just awful. Needless to say I have returned it for a refund. If I can find the original version I bought two years ago I will gladly buy another - but I fear that version has been superseded by a cheaper alternative with much poorer build quality. Ironically I think the first two I bought cost me less than this one!

Used with the iPad, this stand is fantastic. It sits at the perfect angle for viewing or typing, folds down small, it's rugged, sturdy etc etc. Using with an iPad - great.Now, it also says in the description that this is for use with a laptop. It can be, and for some laptops no doubt it be ok, but for something like a macbook or macbook air the screen simply doesn't open wide enough to be facing in the right direction when placed on this stand.You can ostensibly move the stand to the correct angle for your screen and extend the legs to get it right BUT the stand only locks in place at three specific angles. These angles are not going to be correct for all laptops. The silly thing is, why just have three locks??? There is a great deal of space between the ipad video viewing angle lock and the ipad typing angle lock that has no lock at all, if there were, it would be easy to get the right angle for ANY laptop.Unfortunately, you need a lock in the right place because even with just the weight of the MacBook Air, the stand collapses down to lock in place at the iPad typing angle if you try and be clever and bodge the stand into the right angle where there isn't a lock. I tried wedging it up against the wall next to the desk and his helps but when I'm hot desking I don't always get the luxury of a wall next to the desk and I have to just leave the stand in my bag as it's no good.*Sigh* It's another of those products that SAYS it's capable of doing two things but no one has really tested it much for the second thing and it ends up doing that pretty badly.I love this stand for my iPad and it would have been so useful to have it work with my MacBook Air too but it's just not to be. C'est la vie as they say...

I had one of these for 2 years to use with an iPad and really liked it. When one of the arms snapped off, I had no hesitation in replacing it. The new one seems bigger and sturdier, if anything, but after only 6 weeks, the very small piece of plastic holding the arm to a spring has snapped. I will not be buying another one.

Great idea, somewhat poor execution in that the first two I had broke after just a few movements. I now keep a spare but the third one I bought has been fine though I try to never move it.

Compré este soporte para mi iPad y me ha resultado una excelente inversión. Utilizo el soporte para leer y también como soporte para grabar video con el iPad. La calidad del producto es muy buena y luce muy profesional. Además, viene con un estuche en uno de mis colores favoritos (verde petróleo). Y como se dobla, no ocupa nada de espacio en el bolso. Definitivamente recomendable.

Also, für mein iPad finde ich das Teil wirklich toll. So kann ich rasch zwischen Hoch- und Quer-Format wechseln, was bei mir dann doch immer wieder vorkommt. Bei mir steht das iPad als "Informationsquelle" schräg neben meinem Computer-Monitor. Mit diesem Ständer ist das für mich optimal. Sehr nützlich ist auch, dass man das iPad von steil bis fast flach in die angenehmste Schrägstellung bringen kann, je nachdem aus welchem Winkel man draufschaut.Der Knopf zum Öffnen der Arretierung für die Schrägstellung hakt immer wieder ein wenig. Jetzt habe ich herausgefunden, dass es besser geht, wenn man nicht nur mit einem Finger (Daumen) draufdrückt, sondern zugleich mit der Hand von der anderen Seite dagendrückt. Naja, das sind Kleinigkeiten.Der Ständer kann durch ausziehen der vorderen Beine verlängert werden. Das mag für Laptops erforderlich sein, beim iPad braucht man das nicht. Da wäre es sogar eher störend, egal ob in Hoch- oder Querlage. Egal, dachte ich, lasse ich sie einfach drin. Aber: wenn man den Ständer mitsamt dem iPad hochhebt, kann es passieren, dass die nur ganz leichte Einrastung der Beine sich löst und das Ganze dann nach unten rutscht, was das iPad zum Absturz bringen kann. Da ich den Ständer immer wieder umstelle und dieses Öffnen der Beine verhindern will, habe ich 2 ganz dünne Stifte durch die Ständerbeine gebohrt, so dass sie dauerhaft fest in der Grundstellung verankert bleiben. Die ausgezogene Stellung werde ich selbst niemals benötigen.Wenn ich das iPad hochkant stelle, wird es unten etwas eng für den Stecker der Schnittstelle / des Ladegeräts - aber es geht gerade so, wenn man das Kabel etwas biegt - ein "Abknicken" ist das noch nicht, aber so ganz optimal ist es auch nicht. Das iPad einfach umdrehen, damit das Kabel dann oben ist? Manche Apps lassen sich offenbar nicht drehen und haben eine feste Position. Und: wenn zugleich ein Stecker im Kopförer-Ausgang steckt, dann sollte der oben sein, weil der meist ja noch länger ist und unten dann auf keinen Fall mehr Platz hat. Im Querformat ist das alles natürlich kein Problem.Ich würde gern 4,5 Sterne geben. Weil das nicht geht und der Ständer aber insgesamt einfach Klasse ist, runde ich auf 5 auf.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem qualitativ hochwertigen und unauffälligen Ständer für mein neues iPad und habe mich aufgrund verschiedener Kundenrezensionen für dieses Modell entschieden. Zu Unrecht. Er funktioniert zwar, die Qualität war jedoch nicht wie beschrieben.Gleich nach dem Auspacken kommt das Gerät wertig daher. Es ist einigermaßen schwer, die Haptik der großen Teile ist gut. Doch schon beim ersten Versuch, das Gerät aufzustellen, wurden Qualitätsmängel offenbar. Die beiden Schenkel lassen sich nur schwer auseinanderziehen, das größte Ärgernis ist jedoch der große Knopf für die Arretierung des Geräts. Der lässt sich nur mit großem Druck und nach mehreren Versuchen richtig bedienen, die richtige Einstellung zu finden, ist Glückssache.Auch die kleinen Plastikteile, die den Rand des iPads unten halten, sind mehr als billig verarbeitet und sehen auch dementsprechend aus.Ist das Gerät allerdings erstmal aufgestellt, gibt es keine Beanstandungen. Es steht stabil, ist mit iPad praktisch unsichtbar (das war mir wichtig) und sieht auch ohne das Gerät unauffällig aus.Ich werde es behalten und bei Bedarf diese Rezension in einigen Wochen ergänzen. Allerdings glaube ich nicht, dass ich den Ständer mit dem Gerät drauf großartig rumtragen werde. Dafür ist mir die Bedienbarkeit nicht komfortabel genug. Da es aber die grundlegenden Funktionen trotzdem erfüllt, gibt's drei Sterne. Also ausreichend bis befriedigend.
