Quick and easy soup maker
Easy to use and very quiet. Makes a much smoother soup than my old blender did. And it's all so much quicker. Easy to clean too. Dizevis a bit bigger than a kettle so it's easy to store. Nice sturdy feel to the material but it can be a bit heavy.

Easy to use, packed with features
Very easy to use and clean, delighted with it. Has every feature possible, pre clean, sauté, keep warm, portion control (depending on recipe), smooth, medium and chunky settings. Only con it is very heavy.

Making soup without the drudge
A good gadget to have for saving time in the kitchen. I have made soup for many years but had begun to find the process tedious. Chopping and preparing ingredients, bringing the soup to the boil then simmering; typically the whole process would take a couple of hours. In many ways a soup maker is just a blender with a heater and programming chip but it does save time. I chose the Morphy Richards partly on manufacturer's reputation and also because of the range of features, especially the keep warm function. This soup maker does make good soup. If I'm honest I think my traditional method produces better soup but the difference is not so large as to make me not use this and I think that over time I can adapt the recipes and devise new ones to work in the soup maker. The rating is four stars because it is noisy, awkward to clean and the instruction and recipe booklet could be improved (see below). The instruction book seems to have been printed for an earlier model but then modified because some things don't apply to this model. For example the sauté function can only be used with the lid on the machine. The instructions suggest otherwise. The recipes are also misleading and can be improved. First ignore the suggested preparation times - these are all too short. Unless you are a top class kitchen knife expert it's going to take you more than five minutes to peel and chop the vegetables that, for example, go into the tomato and basil soup. I'd estimate typical preparation time is around fifteen to twenty minutes for peeling, chopping and weighing ingredients. After following the recipe for my first batch of tomato soup (apart from using fresh tomato instead of tinned) I decided to cut down on the potato. I think potato is being used as a thickening agent because you can't make a roux (butter and flour) with the soup maker. If you use the suggested portion of potato the tomato soup tastes more of potato than tomato. My advice would be to adapt the recipes, then experiment with your own. Overall the soup maker has meant I can make tasty soups in under an hour start to finish. Do use the pre-clean function after making your soup while it doesn't totally clean the interior it does make the final clean much easier. One tip would be to have a study deep measuring jug next to the soup maker so you can lift off the lid and place it upright in the jug for support. This keeps the vicious chopping blade safe and stops soup dripping on surfaces.

Reliable, Does everything, easy to clean
Bought a second one of these after having the first for years. It has worked hard making gallons of soups each year from home grown veg. The original is still going strong and i gave it to a friend who loves it. I chose this one again as it has been reliable, the non stick is very good, it will saute and makes soups with little effort and no other pans. After a few years the original has one small spot on the bottom where the non stick has worn down a little in one small area, and a small amount burns on this spot. This happened as in saute it gets very hot and you should lift the lid and stir the contents every couple of minutes, i left it too long a few times. Stirring is not a problem as the saute function cooks quickly and when you put the lid back on it remembers where it is up to.There is no need to lift the lid to stir once it is on soup making function. The pot can be removed for very easy cleaning. During harvest season my soup maker has made 4 or 5 batches every day for 2 months and regular use through the year and has never had any other problem. With this new one i will just ensure i stir regularly during saute to maintain the non stick.

I do not recommend this soup maker
I paid what I thought was a lot of money for a soup maker as I wanted a good one! Morphy Richard’s I have NEVER been so disappointed. Before I used it there was a sticker that I wanted to remove from its plastic outer jug and when I tried to peel it off it came off in tiny shreds hence I have a shredded plastic ad still stuck to the front of my soup maker. I had read not to use metal instruments due to the non stick surface, so I was meticulous in making sure I only used cloths to clean and dry. I have so far made four different soups. After the first soup the base went a dark grey colour which puzzled me but I carried on and have to say, the soups were delicious but after the fourth soup, (tomato), which was ready in 20 mins, to my amazement it had stuck to the base inside and it took ages to get the burnt soup from the base. The tomato was a smooth soup and I did find one or two chunks that had been missed in the blending. I certainly would never recommend this item to any friends and feel very let down.

So glad I bought this one.
I didn’t make soup because it was too much hassle. I am not a great cook but I do like home made soup. A bit of leek and potato in the microwave was about my limit. Now with this Supa-Dupa Soup Maker I make soup 2 sometimes 3 days a week. I am trying all sorts of new (made up) recipes with the veg left in my Fridge - the stuff you think about chucking out but is not quite off. My soups are now full of flavour, my Son loves them too!! The fact that you can Saute in this too makes a big difference for me. It locks in all that lovely flavour. I sauté onions etc and throw them in my slow cooker and add in more to make a soup! Two meals in one. Why not, while you are chopping veg anyway. It’s very easy to clean. The inner compartment just pops out at the push of a button so its easier to hold and clean. I hold it over the bowl and wash with a cloth and soapy water then rinse under the tap. It does have a self clean which I use if I have a thick soup that might stick to the sides a bit. Not often that happens though. I think its worth paying a little extra for the extra features, the centre popping out for cleaning, the self clean function, the sauté function. It quick too and the soup tastes lovely and you only chopped veg and threw it in the machine! With a chicken stock of course. The soup tastes good without using the Sauté too. You can also make cold fresh fruit drinks and milkshakes. I love it. It looks good on the counter too.

A gadget I actually use !
Over the years I have bought many gadgets, only to find they were difficult to clean and they ended up at the back of the cupboard. So when my neighbour told me about her soup maker I was a bit sceptical.. However she assured me it was easy to use and clean and she was using hers everyday and even made me a bowl of soup to try - lovely neighbour- so I decided to give it a go. I have not been disappointed. It is about the size of a jug kettle so doesn't take up much room on the worktop. It is so easy to use and you can have hot soup ready to eat in about 22/25 minutes, depending on the consistency you choose. It comes with recipes in the instruction book but you will soon learn that on fact you can put any combination of chopped vegetables in it with hot stock. It also encourages using up odds and ends of vegetables you might otherwise throw away. I really can't think of any negative things to say about it. Update of my review: I bought the soup maker in August 2020. Sadly after just 2 months the soup maker had stopped working. Amazon were very quick to send a replacement under the guarantee and everything was fine again. However it is now May 2023 and the last couple of times I used the soup maker it cooked the vegatebles, but when it should be blending them for a smooth soup, there was just an awful noise but no blending! Of course by now the soup maker is out of guarantee. I contacted the makers, Morphy Richards to ask if it could be repaired but they do not provide a repair service. So it seems I now have a soup maker that can only boil the vegetables (which I can as easily do in a saucepan on my hob) but not blend them to a smooth soup and I guess it will have to go to the recycling centre. Very disappointing!

Lovely soup maker + work out
Nice looking bit of kit🏆 I am worn out ?? It takes 30 mins to make a yummie soup and over an hour to remove the sticker on the front (without scratching the surface today I have had a workout and some great soup. I saw other people with similar issues but thought Murphy Richards might have listened and changed with easy peel stickers?? I would have given this review a higher rating But after this workout need time to recover 🤪🤪🤪

Facile come....fare ottime zuppe

Best appliance in my Kitchen. I really love it.
I really love this product. I've been using it for almost 4 month. Is really easy to use and very practical product, this is one of my favorite appliance in my Kitchen. We are 2 in the house so I make soup every 2 days. I had a problem with the soute function and immediately send a message to the buyer, they were very fast and kind and change it very fast. In 3 days I had the new one in my house. I really recommend this product. You can pause and open to add more ingredients during the process. My only concern was how to clean it but been carefully is very easy and the easy clean function helps a lot. I also buy the book with the recipes and we already tried lor of them and are really delicious.

Love it
This is our second one We bought our first one many years ago when needing to look after and feed elderly parents , sometimes they just wanted soup when the family meal wasn’t what they felt like. It was so easy to make a nutritious soup that they enjoyed when life was already busy particularly around meal times… This is one of the best kitchen appliances The first one is still going strong after being used very regularly for many years Love it.
