Every human being should read this book and every Roman Catholic (dare I say) should have this book in their library. Why? Because, due in large to a complete lack of proper catechesis, we need to be reminded that a fierce war rages for our souls. Whether or not we wish to face the facts, we are at war. And we face a powerful, deadly enemy who is out to destroy us. It s a spiritual war with crucial consequences in our everyday life and its outcome will determine our eternal destiny. If we are to engage the enemy with confidence, then we need this Manual for Spiritual Warfare; this guide for spiritual warriors to help us recognize, resist, and overcome the Devil's attacks. Part One, Preparing for Battle, answers these critical questions: - Who is Satan, and what powers does he have? - What are his typical strategies? - Who fights him alongside us in battle? - What spiritual weapons and armor do we possess? - How do we keep the Enemy out of our camp? A great tool for any believer to have in their daily list of books to read. It gives a detailed outline with scriptural basis as to what spiritual warfare consists of. I would say it is written from the Catholic standpoint so inevitably there is some belief solely kept by Catholics in the book. I personally have a NASB bible to hand whilst reading and find there's more power in reading certain passages from this bible translation (widely regarded as one of if not the most literal from original greek/Hebrew/aramaic manuscripts. Im not entirely convinced with regard to praying to Mary for protection from the devil as far I can understand she's either in sheol with all other souls or to those who believe in soul-sleep she is asleep. Overall great tool for combatting evil influences in everyday life. I'd just say there's only one name the Devil can't stand outright and that is Jesus Christ. He is and should remain above all angels/deceased human beings.

This book is an excellent aid to the faithful in spiritual warfare. The book covers various topics regarding the subject, including how the demonic works, advice from the Saints, and, most of all, a rather extensive collection of prayers and devotions to God, Our Lady and the Saints, including rosary meditations for spiritual battle. This book is a must have for all serious Catholics in our time. I'm so grateful that I decided to buy this book.

I've just started the RCIA course at my local church and this little book is very helpful.

I would highly recommend this book to all Christians. I think every home should have a copy. It is a very well written book on spiritual warfare and I am glad I decided to buy it.

Seriously, this isn't a sarcastic review. I bought this book to understand the frankly baffling perspective of the author, but also it makes an amazing prop for live roleplay or similar. The book has this beautiful fake-leather cover, it's a handbook so can easily be carried about, and there's a silver-effect icon of a sword on the spine! I can't attest to its ability to combat demons, because there aren't any demons in the universe I live in (this one), but if any ever show up I reckon this book's as good a chance as anything else I might have of showing them what for.

Very good book but also very serious if youre like me and have insatiable thirst for knowledge into the unseen then this book is great at giving you the knowledge you need to protect yourself while exploring the supernatural. But be fare warned it is a very serious book.

Excellent book, I'm not sure a review of this book will do it any justice than the book itself. Every Christian needs this book sitting at home, it is so well written, addresses the tools you need in confronting spiritual battles, biblical passages and comments from the saints. This book will stand up there amongst catholic classics.

“Like it or not, you are at war”. From then on, like it or not, I was captured by its battle cry. Picture yourself as a soldier dropped behind enemy lines. The enemy is all around and out to locate and destroy you. Far from your true Fatherland, you have only your weapons to fall back on. You have now something of the atmosphere that pervades Manual of Spiritual Warfare. Parachuted into a land rightly yours, you have come to stoke the fires of resistance, to organise the revolt, to start a rebellion. Such is the lot of all baptised Christians called to a warfare that only ceases when at last the trumpets sound at Armageddon. You have now the reason why this book has been published, and why it is so necessary today. Like any manual to be carried behind enemy lines, it is succinct and to the point, as well as being packed full of ‘weaponry’ for the war now to be propagated. It breaks down into two parts. Part One: ‘Preparing for the Battle’. This is the portion you should have read before you boarded the plane that under cover of darkness dropped you into this occupied territory. It tells of the Enemy and the battle lines. Then it reminds you of the rightful King for whom you fight, and who is there to help you in this expedition, as well as the aid from your Commanders and comrades in the coming skirmishes. In regard to this eventuality, there is more assistance to be had than at first you might think. It then proceeds to go through your ‘kit’: your ‘soul’ armour and your weapons. Never forget this is an offensive: you are expected to take the fight to the Enemy. As you march forward, however, it warns of the prevailing enemy propaganda that you will meet – at all costs you must keep this and its source outside ‘the camp’, and, along the way, beware also of collaborators in whatever guise. Part Two: ‘Aids in Battle’. This is what you should already know but are here helpfully reminded of – Church teaching on the type of warfare to be expected: Catechisms, Church Councils, and Papal Documents, are all quoted. Then the all-important Scripture verses – some of your best weaponry – as well as the crucial Scriptural ‘intelligence’ on the Enemy and his fellow travellers. In addition, there are words of wisdom and help from Our Glorious Dead – those who have gone before us and now assist with ‘aerial combat’. Finally, there is a compendium of prayers, devotions and hymns to lead you into and out of battle. All of these will confuse and irritate the Enemy, as now with ‘air support’ you are ready to advance ever deeper into the dark core of his counterfeit kingdom in this war of liberation. The Manual of Spiritual Warfare has a number of aims. First of all, it nails the lie that evil has no name. To fight one must know with whom it is we do combat. That leads to the second aim: why we fight. Now for those living in the Western World a walk around any major city testifies to the evils in our midst. This text teaches how to discern what is what and who is who in this often invisible if all too real conflict. Reading this manual helps us recognise, resist, and overcome, never losing sight of what is at stake. And it is not just for ourselves that we are prepared to take up arms but for our family, our friends, and for all those we are joined to in the equally invisible if unbreakable tie of Baptism.

La calidad de este libro es increíble, se presenta en cuero -sintético- con cantos de las hojas en plata y redondeadas, y el típico lazo rojo (pero en negro) para marcar las páginas. El libro está aprobado y revisado por sacerdotes católicos que dan el visto bueno a su contenido (nihil obstat, imprimatur), por lo tanto todo católico debe estar tranquilo pues su contenido es fiel al dogma y moral católica. Posee incluso una página inicial donde puedes escribir una dedicación a alguien si es que decides regalarlo. Su contenido principal es proporcionar una serie de herramientas, así como advertencia y conocimientos, necesarios para crear una defensa eficaz contra El Maligno. Hay también un apartado de reflexiones y sentencias de Santos que cualquier fiel encontrará interesante. La única pega es que el libro está escrito enteramente en inglés, eso sí, un inglés sencillo, pero para quien no tenga idea de inglés no podrá sacarle partido a esta obra.

This book explains how the Devil attacks and what prayers we need to say to immediately get away from temptations that the devil sends us. This book is for all, especially for all the Catholics and Christians.
