After the dealer couldn't find out why my car wouldn't start, I researched my car online at sites like youtube on how to install it, and ordered this ignition switch. Just make sure it is a match for your vehicle. I even found about several videos how to put it in for my car, a 2001 basic Alero, and did it myself and saved around 300 buckos I figure. Save the videos, to go over as you take everything apart step by step, to get to the switch. It works great. Felt like the same quality of the original, and shape, got 2 keys also, and now I'm back on the road again. What a relief.

Works great!! 2002 Pontiac grand am. 99-05 grand ams are known for ignition switch failures. Can range from long crank times and gradually gets worse to a complete “crank no start” situation. I’ve owed the car since new and have been down this road before. Very affordable replacement and 2 new ignition keys included

Se corrige falla de security
Llevo 2 días de haber realizado el cambio e instalación en mi Pontiac grand am y está trabajando muy bien ,hasta ahora!! Se corrigió la falla que tenía del security! Espero así siga👍
