Total inspiration
This is different to the more 'exercise based' dvds I have used (Yogalates for Weight Loss/Barbara Currie's 7 Secrets) and I was a bit daunted at first in keeping up with Simon's flowing faster and more energisng first section. But having worked through a few repeats it started to take over on autopilot. Loved the slower one, it proved marvellous for deep stretching but I used some of the more simple postures (nice to see Simon demonstrating these). Truly beautifully filmed and produced, he goes beyond most teachers and encourages you to seek a deeper level of understanding or being in tune with body movement within stillness. As I'm home based for yoga I found this really motivating and will be joining him on that fab CA beach regularly. Deserves to be a number 1.

Stimulating and Relaxing
I first saw this DVD on television and started following just the Yang section very early in the morning before breakfast. I found it so stimulating and soon easy to do that I wanted to follow the Yin section too. Having little time available at that particular time in the morning, I decided to buy the DVD on Amazon so that I could excersise whenever I wanted. It is one of the best Yoga DVD's on the market. Simon Low is a marvellous teacher, his voice is soft and clear and allows ample time for you to change positions. After doing a session I always feel fantastic my body feels energised, stretched and my mind positive and de-stressed. Great music also! that relaxes and helps for breathing concentration. Love it!

Yin and Yang yoga
A bit disappointed with this DVD.Simon Low is a very respected teacher so I expected more from this Dvd. The Yin programme is very good and I will use this in future but the Yin programme is extremely fast with no clear instruction or modifications for beginners or if you have an injury. If you are a beginner or have injuries I would avoid this section of the DVD.

Great yoga DVD
One Yin and one Yang sequence to practice at home makes a great combination. I find the restorative Yin works best in the evening after a long day and perhaps the Yang session in the week-end with more energy.Simon's teaching is precise and pays great attention to detail so you can deepen your understanding of the poses. One of his greatest assets is a voice that takes you on a journey. The video is beautifully produced.Roland Kupers - Amsterdam

Give it a try
I chose this DVD as a beginner and although some of it is suitable, I think you have to be a bit more experienced in yoga to get the best out of it. Definitely worth a go though, at the price!

over produced and not at all for beginners
Visually this DVD is very appealing -- beautiful sunsets on the beach and some nice background music. Unfortunately this sums up the positive things I can say about this DVD. There are many drawbacks to this DVD but they fall into two main categories - the menu/set up of the DVD and the workouts themselves. Simon Low proposes two routines - the Yin workout which lasts for over an hour - much too long to fit in on a weekday. The workout also requires two yoga blocks and a yoga bolster. I frankly don't see the point in having three instructors to show the poses. The Yang workout is half the length of the Yin workout but unfortunately is MUCH too fast for a beginner to follow. In fact, the pace is so quick that even the instructor can't keep up with it much less the yoga student. There is VIRTUALLY NO ADVICE given on poses which makes one wonder, wouldn't it have been more HELPFUL to do something SHORTER and SLOWER with more explanations?

disappointing
I looked at the reviews of this dvd and then ordered it. I was disappointed that you need props (blocks and a large boulster) for the stretching yin part and the second part yan was soooooo fast I dont think I'd ever be able to keep up. I'll give it another try but I definately wouldn't have bought it had I seen it first. The scenery was nice.

Not good
This is a good DVD but my major complaint and it is major, is that it will only play on my computer not my TV DVD player. Seriously disappointed and would urge others not to buy this dvd for that reason.

super
