The reel has a bait runner for drag and a top drag. I catch carp with this reel on a 12foot carp rod and it can pull in 30+ pound carp easily

Will this work for River striper fishing?

This will definitely pull in striper. I catch 30+ lb carp on this reel

Can this hold 20lb braided line

Yes with ease. I put 40 pound on and it works fantastic and casts far with my carp set up.
