Need spring hook for installation
Temperatures are accurate and the unit comes with 2 springs you can gang together for use on extra large pipe. The eye at each end of the spring is a bit too tight for the thermometer guage connectors. I opened mine with needle nose pliers and then closed them again.

Great for home hot water heating systems
Great little thermometer. I've put a few of these on the various input and outputs on my home hot water heating system to monitor zone temperatures at the pipe. Installation is quick, the spring can be a little tricky, but once installed its very secure. The gauge is easy to read from a comfortable distance and is reasonably accurate.
