Classic
Bought this as a random gift for my brother, who is a lifelong WWF/WWE fan. He enjoys watching the older Wrestlemanias and was really happy to see this one after so long. Lots of big names and an entertaining “25 diva battle royale”!

Underrated
This is the 25th annual Wrestlemania event. Not the 25th anniversary which this DVD is advertised as as Wrestlemania 26 would be the 25th anniversary but never mind. The event is included in full(with the exception of a Kid Rock concert as the women were entering the ring which has been cut from the DVD) along with extras. The 2009 Hall of Fame ceremony is included highlighted by the induction of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and so is the pre-show match. The other extras are highlight packages from the previous 24 Wrestlemanias.**Pre-Show bonus match**Carlito & Primo vs. The Miz & John Morrison - This is a lumberjack match, mainly just to get people on the show who didn't have a proper match on the main card, and it was to unify the WWE and World tag team championships. The lumberjacks played a part in the opening moments of the match but after that they might as well have not been there. After the lumberjack stuff was out of the way this turned into a pretty decent back and forth match, definitely the best pre show match they'd had at a Wrestlemania.CM Punk vs. Christian vs. Kane vs. Mark henry vs. Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. Shelton Benjamin - This was a money in the bank ladder match and it was another really good one with so many great moments. Kofi Kingston showed some very impressive athleticism and Benjamin hit another one of his show stealing spots. Everyone would work together to take out the two biggest men, Kane and Mark Henry and Hornswoggle got involved again. Punk, Christian and Shelton all showed their experience in these kinds of matches and it all made for another really fun money in the bank match.25 Woman Battle Royal - This apparently had a load of returning women involved but as they were introduced during Kid Rock's concert their introductions aren't shown so they aren't really noticed. It's a fairly average battle royal with no good moments. Unless you like Santino Marella running around in drag there's nothing to this match unfortunately. It was just awful.Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka & Roddy Piper - Jericho took on three hall of famers in a handicap match here. Snuka and Piper weren't able to do much so the match wasn't that good while they were in the match. After they were eliminated the match picked up as Steamboat was in much better shape and was able to have a decent back and forth match with Jericho. Overall the match wasn't that good but Jericho and Steamboat make it watchable.Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy - This was an Extreme Rules match and they didn't waste any time introducing weapons into the match. Matt would try to use weapons to beat down Jeff while Jeff would go for his signature high risk style moves. These high risk moves would cost him on several occasions though as Matt knew him well enough to avoid the attacks and take out Jeff. This was a pretty good match with some extreme moments and a brutal looking finish.JBL vs. Rey Mysterio - This was for the intercontinental championship and was more of a moment than a match. It was entertaining and didn't take up too much time.Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker - Shawn Michaels was determined to end the Undertaker's undefeated streak here and he had an answer for everything the deadman did early on. This was a really great back and forth match with so many great moments. Undertaker managed to avoid a moonsault to the outside but soon after Michaels avoided Undertaker's dive to the outside and it looked like Undertaker landed straight on his head. They had so many counters for each other's signature offense and this match had so many moments where it looked like it was over. You could really see the emotion on the faces of both men throughout the match and it made for one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history.Edge vs. John Cena vs Big Show - This was for Edge's World Heavyweight Championship and it was another really good match. Every man played an important role in the match with Big Show being the dominant giant, throwing his opponents around so much that Cena and Edge even team up to try and take him out. John Cena was his usual up front fighter, trying to take on both Edge and Big Show and Edge was the intelligent opportunist, forming alliances and ending them as soon as it suited him. This made a really good match that I feel is very underrated.Triple H vs. Randy Orton - This was for Triple H's WWE championship and if Triple H got disqualified he would automatically lose the title. You could see the hatred right away as Triple H went right after Orton straight away and nearly got himself disqualified. Both men hit their finishers in the first few minutes of the match but weren't able to put their opponent down. They fought around the ringside area where Triple H went to pedigree Orton through a table and Orton hit his elevated DDT off a table. Orton even went to introduce Triple H's signature sledgehammer while the referee was down. I've heard a lot of people say this match is one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history but I can't agree, it was a really good, hate filled, back and forth match with some really good moments. If one thing held it back from being great it was the stipulation as it should have been no disqualification to really settle this heated rivalry. It was still a very good match though and a good way to end the PPV.I feel this is a very underrated Wrestlemania, nobody really talks about it when discussing the greatest Wrestlemanias but it definitely has it's fair share of greatness. It has one of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time in Shawn vs. Undertaker as well as two very good title matches. The money in the bank ladder match was as fun as ever and so was the extreme rules match between the Hardys. While the legends match wasn't very good for the most part it was still well worth watching for the return of Ricky Steamboat and the intercontinental championship match was a fun moment.
