It is a beautiful piece of artwork entirely.
One of the best book I've ever read about lettering/design layouts. I always had the impression that Jessica keeps the "good stuff" for herself when in interviews but in here she is very generous with the information. You have everything from instruments to techniques (paper & paperless). I bought the e-book but I intend to buy the physical book as respect for her hard work. It is a beautiful piece of artwork entirely.

Hecho en un material bueno, agradable al tacto. La presentación muy buena y el contenido estupendo para coger ideas y para conocer cómo es el proceso desde el punto de vista de otra persona, que siempre viene bien para refrescar ideas

Has excellent examples. Has a lot of text, where the author talks in great details and a very candid manner. There are a few pages where you can practice over the traced designs. Page quality is thick and excellent. Good for beginners ++!!

The 176 page book "In Progress". ISBN# 9781452136226 is a full color, 8.2 x 10.2 inch, hard cover book. See Inside a Lettering Artist's Sketchbook and Process, from Pencil to Vector. I enjoyed going through Jessica's sketchbook and learning how she goes about her drawings. It helped me to learn her different techniques and allowed me to apply them to my own. The book goes over the 17 art materials she uses to draw her masterpieces, including the sketchbooks she likes to use. And then finally the digital art supplies that are used. And also includes the software and services that are important. I also really enjoyed the photo of her art studio, although I wish there was more. Basically after that she goes through the process of logo designs with "research and brainstorming", "Sketching" and "Vector Drawings". They are all great techniques! Less than half way through the book she goes right to "The Work". All her past jobs that she went through from thumbnail sketches to the light pencil drawings then to the pen and ink and finally color! PROS: Lots of color photos Shows the process she took very clearly CONS: I do not see any cons, the book was done very well I gave this book "In Progress" by Jessica Hische, an A+ because it is very organized and helped me understand the process Helen takes to make some of the nicest logos in the world.
