250mls Liquid Latex for Mold - Mould Making & Special Effects

I was looking at the pre-made, 'professional' prosthetic pieces for Halloween when I stumbled across some DIY videos on YouTube. Initially I thought it would be difficult, but by the end I had decided to buy some liquid latex and give it a go. I found this 'Scarva Special Effect Liquid Latex Emulsion' on Amazon and thought for £6 I couldn't really go wrong. I had some doubts about my own skill and also had no idea how much I would need, so this seemed perfect to 'have a play with'.I had dabbled with liquid latex when I was younger and managed to achieve the 'old' or skin peeling look, and after watching several Youtube videos I felt ready to attempt something. Me being me, I went for a ripped out back of hand effect. Armed with this Scarva liquid latex and, amazingly, some toilet paper, I was able to create a pretty decent effect. Spurred on I thought I'd adapt the techniques used in the videos to my own needs.Instead of applying the latex directly to my skin I poured some on a shiny wooden box, then used a hair dryer to dry it up, once I had a good base layer I then began mixing bits toilet paper in with some of the latex and in effect moulded it to the shapes I wanted. A quick hair dryer blast and then carry on, building it up. Once I'd dried the last layer I've then used some acrylic paint to 'colour' it in. It'll need better blended make up once it's on.Within a few hours I had made a hand piece, a missing eye and ripped cheek piece (covers half of my face), a neck slit scar and a small scar. All of that and my first test piece that I threw away and I reckon I still have about half of the latex left.If you've the remotest interest in making some special effect pieces yourself, then get this product, or buy the bigger one. It's great fun and quite therapeutic to make yourself look gruesome!!

A nice big bottle of liquid latex. Does the job. Make sure you let it air a bit by opening the lid for a minute or two before using as it does smell quite horrible!! My only gripe is that it didn't have a detachable lid to pour the latex in to work with, had to use a bowl (probably could've used something more practical but couldn't think of anything at the time) and I ended up pouring out way too much. If you are new to liquid latex, watch a YouTube video first and avoid areas with hair and moisturise first.

I used this to create the look of skin peeling from my face and hands at halloween.The liquid is a little more watery than I expected so you have to be patient and build it up in layers but it did the job and once I had applied some facepaint to look like blood etc the final result was brilliant.This bottle is very big, I only used a very small amount for my effect but hopefully it will keep in the bottle until next year.

Used this for halloween and went crazy with it. There is still loads left! Bargain price for what you get. Though the colour of the latex is white so blending it into the skin takes some doing. A clear or skin coloured version would be ideal. Overall love it.

Great effects tho be careful if applying to your skin especially near your eyes as fumes do make them smart a bit. Also not recommended if any facial hair as is painful on removal.

Fantastic product which works wonders on the skin to give all kinds of Halloween special effects.I used it for many applications. The most important was sticking latex horns onto my head.Be warned: The latex in this bottle is very thin and watery. If your making a latex creation by covering a mould, you will need to apply numerous layers before it's think enough to remove.

Loved this product, used it for Halloween to create a ripped off face look and it did the trick just fine. Needed a few layers to create a good effect and it does smell when applying it, but it dried just fine and was perfect for what I needed it for!

easy to use once you figure it out, lost a star for taking a lil while to dry and smelling like chemically dizzolved bum but overal a good buy.
