2006 studio album by the hard rock legends....their first in almost 25 years! Back in the late 1970's and 80's, the band established a beachead of fans in San Antonio, Texas (of all places), thanks to the late, legendary radio DJ host Joe Anthony, who made their recordings integral to his show. (Among other bands like Moxy, Garfield, the Ramones, Rainbow, Rush and more!) These fans kept the embers of the group alive and eventually made it possible for them to rise like a Phoenix and reclaim their status as legendary rockers! Viva Budgie!

We should all live in Cuckooland!!!
I wondered what to expect with a new Budgie album, I have always liked them and thought that they could still make a great album.I was right and what a great album it is, not the same as they were but some of the tracks do hark back to the days of sixteen minute songs.A great album by a great band, make sure you buy this along with all the others in their catalogue, make sure you buy the ones on the Noteworthy label as they are the new remastered official ones, enjoy.

Good old Budgie...In for a crazy ride
Finally after a long time waiting.......The 2006 studio recording out on vinyl. Excellent songs, and just like the good old days with Budgie.I would love to see another studiorecording, but now it is 2018, so in the meantime I enjoy the new reissues/backcatalog on 180 grams from Budgie. You wouldn't want to lose this record in your collection

Some absolute crackers like "Dead Men Don't Talk" and "Falling" with some more ...
Some absolute crackers like "Dead Men Don't Talk" and "Falling" with some more thoughtful pieces like the title track. Other than the title, "I'm Compressing the Comb on a Cockerel's Head" the last track left me disappointed. Not classic budgie, but a decent enough record featuring new guitarist Simon Lees. He's no Tony Bourge or John Thomas for that matter and his modern widdley-widdley rock style is not really to my taste (especially when he covers the old songs - travesty!) but like John Thomas did after Tony Bourge left, he's taking Budgie's sound forward in a new direction and may appeal to a new generation of rock fans.

Going Cuckoo has never been better
Another classic from a band that deliver quality hard rock every time. From the opening foot stomping beat of "Justice" through to the Budgiesque entitled "I'm Compressing the Comb on a Cockerels Head", this is a must have album for any Budgie, or heavy rock fan. A totally underrated band who deserve success with the release of their back catalogue and touring. Catch them live they are brilliant.

If you remember Budgie, you'll love this.
My Husband didn't have this in his collection, so was delighted. Definitely earned some brownie points with this.

still strong
Budgie should get respect they deserve for still being able to come up with new tunes that are still vital. This is great music. They might have dropped the ball in the mid-eighties even though some strong riffs still shined here and there, but they have got their groove back. The album stars off real muscular with "Justice" and "Dead Men Don't Talk", then it continues to entertain with good vocals and great guitar with nice effects. Even the slow paced songs (only 2 or 3 by the way) are well placed and complete the album. All in all this is a great release, I hesitated because of the price but now it's available at normal prices, so get it now..If you like these guys you will love this album it's a pleasure and a welcomed surprise.

Hammersong - Dead Man DonŽt Talk

BUDGIEらしい作品
時間をおいた久々のリリース。ファンとしては昔の作品にとらわれず、バッジーらしさを大切にしている点で嬉しいです。ファーストの[BUDGIE]から[WE'RE ALL LIVING IN CUCKOOLAND]までの世界がバッジーそのもの。ジャケットもバッジーらしくてグッド。コンスタントな活動よりも中身の問題と思いますね。過去のアルバムもリマスターされましたが、4枚リマスターされてないので是非、出してほしいです。
