Do you know where I can obtain a rubber ferrule for the end that fits? All the ones I can locate are too large and slip off.

There are two sizes of tips, older 10mm, new tips 11mm - you can use any rubber tips form walking sticks, they have the right diameter and length. As genuine spare parts are these rubber tips mot available. But. if you buy one of these umbrellas from my shop -René Spörke- than give me a sign, i'll do give you one for free, that fit's.
