Caesarean Belt

I have had a really plesant recovery from my c-section. I only found I needed to use the belt after my dressing was removed. The cold compress is good to relief any itching and to stop me from trying to itch that area. Also with a toddler at home it give me peace of mind for any bumps. The inserts are all also handy for soothing breast engorgement. I gave it a four star review because I am a size 18 and the belt only just about fits. Also some of the button holes were half sewn up and I had to rip them to get the buttons in.

Seems good, I haven't used it yet as bought it for after my ceaserian but tried it on whilst pregnant and i can really feel the support, I can tell it will be very comforting to have on after the surgery. But it also comes with a lot of things which I can tell will be very useful, not just for after surgery but also for back pain too! :)

I bought this as I knew I was going to be having a c-section and it turned up really quickly. The belt is easy to put on and sits exactly where you need it too. The hard shell was a lifesaver when travelling home from the hospital in the car and any trips in the car whilst healing. Nothing prepares you for how painful that first trip in the car from the hospital is. Every bump in the road is agony. The shell protects the wound from the rubbing of the seatbelt and any heavy braking. I also liked the cold pack which could be put in the fridge and helped which the pain.The only problem I had with this product was with the heat bag. I put it in our microwave on all the recommended settings but found once I took it out it was burnt to a crisp and could not longer be used. If you use the heat bag be extremely careful. I'm glad I didn't turn my back and leave it in the microwave unattended as I was able to stop it before the time was up. If I had left it I think it would of caught fire as it was smoking heavily and smelt acrid.I would still recommend this product but just suggest not using the heat bag that comes with it. After the heat bag burnt I just used the cool pack for both hot and cold. Fridge for cold and put it in a jug of hot water to warm it up.

I start using this in the last months of pregnancy when I was struggling with pelvic gridle pain. This belt really helped me alot in keep moving nd doing everyday chores . Didn't try after my c sec delivery yet.

After my emergency Caesarean I struggled with wearing trousers because they would rub and irritate my scar. I picked this up and it really helped ease a lot of my discomfort. The belt alone was comfortable and soft and the shield worked well to protect me against my mother's big jumping dog when visiting her. I never used the other two things available but that was due to not really feeling like I needed to. All in all, I highly recommend this if you've had a Caesarean section.

Bought this for a friend who had a last minute caesarean and she recommended it to her antenatal group as a great purchase. We also then used it for my mother who was suffering from severe back pain - very useful. Only slight negative is that the warm insert doesn't stay warm for very long and has to be heated in a saucepan - would be easier if it could be put in a microwave.

The belt works wonders on the confidence and comfort at 10 days after c-section.The only small niggle is with the button fastening, which is fiddly and does not fit properly. I intend to replace it with a velcro strip as soon as I will feel well enough tomdo it.I have only used the soft pillow until now, but both thengel pad and the cherry pillow look nice and useful for problems like backache.

Nothing particularly wrong with the product I'm just not sure it was really a must have item. I had a section two weeks ago and so far I have only used it once just to protect my tummy from the seat belt.I haven't used the heat or cooling pads yet as I was advised not to heat or cool a wound straight away, i need to wait for it to heel more first. Maybe I will get more use out of it in a few weeks time but by then I imagine the pain will have settled and I wont need it much anyway. I wouldn't rush out for one of these.I am a size 8-10 and I found it a little big.
