This is a necessity for acrylic portrait painting. Gives consistency to colour mixing, allowing for an even smooth application without the anxiety of the fast drying effect attributed to painting with acrylics with very little or no added water. An excellent medium that does not dull the vibrancy of your colours.

Good product, don't use too much as it can dilute the paint.

Just started using acrylic paint mixing this in with paint gives you a much better time frame to blend colours it’s not as long as oils but it gives you a good chance to make better paintings

Great for extending the life of acrylic paints when wet blending. Makes life simpler and loosens the time constraints of wet blending.

I am very happy with this purchase as it can be difficult to find in most art shops. Good value.

This makes Acrylic paint so much easier to use. It retards drying time and allows for the artist to work the paint on the canvas. It leaves a sheen, as opposed to the straight matt effect of the paint on its own. Water apparently breaks down the bonding of the polymers and can lead to failure of adhesion. Apparently this blending medium works with the chemistry of the paint to aid adhesion. It is an expensive product but it does go a long way.

I bought a few mediums, mod podge, and varnishes. Haven’t used any of that stuff before. My favorite product is the slow dry medium for painting, and finish with matte spray coat (rustoleum brand). The medium makes the paint flow a lot better and you can keep working with it longer before it dries. It’s similar to painting with oil, without the horrible mess. My niece loves it too. We use it every time we paint now. I also tried the high gloss medium but if you aren’t consistent in the amount you use, the gloss is uneven. Uneven gloss looks bad. I’d rather just use gloss coat at the end, so i’m not sure what the point of that stuff is. I haven’t tried the other types of mediums yet.
