I'm convinced that the person who built my house in the 70s just made up his own rules for electrical boxes. Every "simple" light-swapping project I start turns into a 3-hour nightmare of drilling, swearing, and holding a heavy glass dome over my head while my arms turn to jelly. I unpackaged one, held it up to the ceiling, and... angels sang. The sheer, glorious number of slots and holes on this thing is a work of art. It's like a Swiss-Army-Knife-meets-a-Rosetta-Stone for your ceiling. It didn't just kind of fit. It had three different ways it could fit. In less than 5 minutes, the bracket was in, the light was up, and my blood pressure was back to normal. This thing is 4 inches of pure, unadulterated problem-solving. It's strong, it comes with all the little nuts and screws you're going to drop and lose anyway, and it just works. I have the second one on a shelf in the garage, and I feel like a king. I'm ready for anything this weird old house throws at me. 5 stars. This bracket is the authentic MVP.

I had a favorite exterior light fixture that had a wide mounting design. The holes would not line up on the conventional brackets sold at Home Depot /Lowes. I went on line and found these. This is a great kit. The selection of mounting groves gives you a number of options. It fit perfectly and made the installation a piece of cake.

These are very flexible with combination of slots. But, in my particular situation I had to cut one a bit and could not really use the 2nd one as would not match up. Hard to tell until you get it and try it.

Arrived very quickly and enabled us to install a light fixture that wouldn't fit with the original bracket. It was sturdy, easy to install and forced the people who scoffed at us to have to eat crow. If you don't give up and look for it, you can usually find a solution. Even if you are just a mere woman.
