Polycell Mould Killer Spray 500ml

Bought this to spray onto black mould in bedroom, opened windows and sprayed thoroughly, then wiped off with cloth, all mould is gone, pleased with result. No harsh smell. 👌

Works really well and about instantly! Spray on and it doesn’t take much to soak it. It does start to run straight away though so to avoid it running into the paint below either tape up the area first or have a sponge ready to mop up the run off. Once wet just wipe off with a sponge.There did seem to be some paint on the sponge so be prepared to re-paint after if necessary. Also it STINKS!! I actually held my breath and kept running out the room for another lungful. Kept the door closed to avoid the smell going elsewhere and the window open. Did wear goggles too although they immediately steamed up if I tried to breathe anyway as also wearing a mask. Probably overkill on the safety but I prefer my eyes and lungs the way they are :)

Thanks to a poorly ventilated bathroom in our rented flat we've had a long standing mould problem. We were always washing the walls down with bleach. We've tried lots other brands over the years and although they all kill the mould we've always found it comes back quicklyThis has been a game changer. Not only does it kill the mould, but it leaves a fungicidal residue behind so mould doesn't come back in that place. Some of the places where we were always getting rapid recurrence before haven't had a black spot in over 3 months. I suspect in time it will wear off and need reapplying but it's gone from mould being a major problem all over the room to where we're maybe having to spray a tiny patch once a month (where dark spots are popping up in areas that haven't been treated before) when we first notice it. It's easy to use - spray on, wipe off. We've found in the areas where the paint is peeling that it's worth leaving it to sit for a couple of minutes before wiping, so it has the time to diffuse in to the cracks properly.It is very pungent and you really do need to ventilate the room well when using (so crack all the windows if you have them, or have your extractor fan going for a while), and wear gloves and a mask as well, but to my mind it's absolutely worth it

Like another commenter on here, my spray also arrived with a significant amount of the bottle content in the sealed bag it was placed in. The screw cap/top wasn't tight and I'm not sure it could have simply worked loose during transit.It came in that protective plastic bag (sealed) and was then placed inside a large cardboard box with stuffed paper around it, so I have to suspect it was packed with the cap already lose.Given the content is potentially hazardous, more care needs to be taken when sending this item out.On the plus side, it seems to work fairly well - and, luckily, I don't envisage ever needing a whole 500ml anyway.

Works well and almost instantly.We had an issue with a ceiling and wall. Tried just a cloth and it made no difference. A couple of sprays of this and there's no trace of it left on the ceiling, while the wall area just looks like it needs a repaint.Had no issue with the scent because I wore a mask throughout using it - as is recommended - and we left the rooms empty and ventilated for a couple of hours after applying.

Doesn't work. The fumes made me physically sick and no mold has been removed from my walls. Even tried 2nd treatment following How to use to the smallest detail, only to wipe of part of the pain from my wall.Not to mention the bottle arrived unscrewed and the product leaked into plastic bag, which was easy to pour back in, still annoying and not what you expect.I was excited to read other's reviews, thinking I finally found something that works, but was left disappointed and unwell. Never buying this product again, gonna stick to white vinegar every couple of weeks.

Overall gets the job done, wipe off after the active period and wash down surface afterwards, before painting. Gloves a must!
