Pro Q Cold Smoke Generator

I have yet to successfully get this to work. I've heated wood dust in the microwave as suggested, heated wood dust in our pizza oven, dried it out overnight in that oven, but the fire goes out before even an inch of dust has been burnt. I'm using hickory wood dust, totally in appearance just the same as in the photo of the generator. So thus far I cannot say that this device actually works.

I purchased 1 of these 8 or 9 years ago, before it was being sold in the United States. I mainly use it to smoke cheeses. It works great. The flavor it gives is delicious. It is very easy to use. Pour the sawdust onto unit, smooth it out over the grooves, but don't pack it too much, lite the votive candle, and let the candle start it going. I have not had any trouble getting this to work. It will burn for about 4 hours if left alone. I usually let it smoke for 2 and then stop it by moving the burning sawdust away from the unlit with a stick. I am about to order my 4th bag of sawdust. LOVE IT!!!!!
