Great idea
I too was very excited by this - such a brilliant idea but I feel it's been brought to market too early. When it arrived it appeared to be flat so I plugged it in to charge it -but it found even that difficult. I did get my phone to pair with it via bluetooth - once and then never again no matter what I did. Once the device had charged to 50% it gave up the ghost and nothing I did could get it to charge any further or even work at 50%. It just would not turn on. This could just be a faulty one - and I am returning to try another and give it a second chance - but I do feel it just isn't well made. If feels poor and I'm not really holding my breath for the second one working well. It's such a shame. I bought a manfrotto smart phone clamp for tripods at the same time - the design and construction of that is so good, so simple; I think Conceptor needs to go back and look at their device again - even though this is the second version. So the 2 stars are really for the idea rather than the product itself. It just doesn't live up to the idea or the cost. If the second one works as it should I will write a second review.UPDATE: the second device came and it works - hurrah! It is a neat device. The touch sensitive back is good - tap to take photos either through the iphone's camera app or through the app that you can download for the device called Shotlight. You can change the number of lights that flash, and if you want warm or cool light by moving your finger up or down on the back. Don't expect to light up a landscape - that isn't what the light is for, but it will fill in on portraits and it's great that you can hold it to the side, rather than point directly from the front as a camera flash does, so that you have your camera's flash and this one from another angle. The diffuser it comes with works well too.The manual is grim and it is easy to miss instructions because several languages are written in tiny writing under each point and laid out all over the place - someone needs to re-design that one. Or at least point to a better online manual. There are no instructions that I could find online. And the Spotlight app doesn't come with instructions either; it is pretty straightforward although in the settings I have no idea what DOF mode or SVVI mode is. Turning on the "Show tutorial" does nothing at all - where is the tutorial?Lastly, this is quite expensive for what it is and how it's been made. Pernickety point maybe, but you can see the glue on the iblazr holder - it doesn't affect the holder but it's the kind of glue job I would do but would expect better from a factory - at this price. As I mentioned previously, the Manfrotto clamp is a work of art in comparison and much the same price - ok, no electronics though. So I've upgraded to 3 starts - it's a fun device to have in your pocket.

Can'n connect the device with the dedicated Shotlight app
Even though the product itself looks decent and functional, I cannot connect it to the dedicated Shotlight app. The iblazr 2 gets connected successfully to my mobile phone (THL 5000), it is recognized and paired and I can use it to take photos if I tap on the back of the iblazr 2 and use a 3rd party camera app. However, the shotlight camera app is supposed to recognize the iblazr 2, update its firmware and let you synchronize capturing photos with the iblazr's operation (so that you use the app to initiate the flash). This never happened. No matter what I do, I can't make the Shotlight app see the iblazr 2 device, which is a shame considering the fact that both the device and the app are made by the same company.

Slow and disappointing
Very disappointed. Had hoped to use this when taking low light selfies but it's not found to be any use. It doesn't work natively with the iPhone camera app and the iblazr app is slow to start. With the native iPhone camera you need to tap the iblazr to get it to flash and signal the camera to take a picture- a bit difficult to do when at the end of a self stick. Found using the iblazr app to be slow and cumbersome and reviewing the photo taken took ages waiting for the image to come up. For some strange reason it also kept adjusting the volume on my phone.

A good item but just doesnt jusity
Ok but really feels cheaply made and not worth the money for quality. This item is very small didnt realise that until receiving it but its ok for light output. Bear in mind 2 leds are for each temperature. A good item but just doesnt jusity price

Under-delivers
For such a simple product this item came with an overcomplicated instructions leaflet and a keyring that had nothing to hook to! It just doesn't seem like a professional device, nonetheless I am keeping it as I really need a flash for an assignment.

Good blue tooth link
Excellent light intensity settings, maybe a more positive fix to iPhone.
