This is one of those small accessories that doesn't look particularly exciting, but it's proved to be incredibly useful when building my Sony FX30 camera rig. Whenever I've needed to add a cold shoe mounting point exactly where I wanted it, this adapter has done the job perfectly. The machining is excellent, as I've come to expect from SmallRig. It's made from aluminium, feels very solid, and once tightened in place there's no movement or wobble. I've used it to mount accessories to my SmallRig HawkLock cage, and it's allowed me to position equipment much more neatly than relying on the camera's built-in mounting points alone. Having that extra flexibility has helped keep my rig organised as it's grown over time. The locking mechanism holds accessories securely, and I've never had any concerns about things working loose during filming. It's one of those components that you fit once and then forget about because it simply does its job. Like a lot of SmallRig accessories, it's well thought out, nicely finished and integrates perfectly with the rest of their ecosystem. Despite its small size, it feels like a quality piece of hardware rather than a cheap adapter. If you're building a custom camera rig and need an additional cold shoe mounting point, I'd definitely recommend keeping one of these in your kit. It's inexpensive, extremely well made and has solved several mounting challenges for me over the years.

No surprises, works as expected. Handy for attaching extra cold shoe mounts wherever you like. I used this to mount a timecode device next to my v mount battery.

Excellent kit that has everything you need to mount accessories to your camera

I bought these so I could attach a mic to my Blackmagic camera. The build is solid, not cheap flimsy metal and the screws can be tightened and loosened easily enough with the key. There is little to go wrong with these as they act like regular hot shoes found on DSLRs if a little chunkier in appearance. I do have a problem with customers being charged £10.30 for these - that is very overpriced in my opinion. I bought them at £9 for 2 and I still think that is very expensive hence the loss of 1 star.

to the cold shoe fittings found on the camera cage. Thankfully I no longer risk accessories slipping from my rig as opposed to the built in cold shoe's on the rig frame. I have noticed that the video rig chassis expands/contracts due to fluctuating temperatures. These mounts are made of a better alloy so the equipment locks tight and stays put! Those tiny screws don't fit my rig frame even though it is the same brand, hence the 4 stars. Splitting hairs really

This is an essential addition to the Smallrig rig as it enables you to attach flash, mics lights etc to the side of the main body. This is a great piece of engineering with properly finished corners, recesses etc... It gives me the same glow as Apple products- simple design - beautifully executed and (note here to apple) at an incredible price.

Top quality engineering and finish for these cold shoes. Solid aluminium. Could not be better. Even have a slight taper in the shoe so that your foot tightens as you slide it in - and it will not slip out of the other side. Comes with 1/4 inch Whitworth screw and two small bolts with Allun Keys. Very professional product. Can be fixed to other kit or an aluminium bar to allow mounting of accessories to your own design / configuration.

Simple and sturdy. I've used these as part of a kit build for my audio equipment. Worth every penny.

Works perfectly with UURig M6 Mark II rig. So out of two coldshoes now I have 4.

Comme d'habitude, belle finition Smallrig. Simple à monter : avec ou sans le système de maintien "3 points" (1/4 plus vis latérales ...). Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas en plus la vis 1/4. Les "colds shoes..." conviennent à de multiple possibilité de montage ou accessoires. Pour moi, c'est un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Rien à dire d'autre si ce n'est : Pour tous mes achats avec Smallrig, (à part une référence de câble USB double coude que je garde pourtant, suite erreur de ma part), je ne me suis jamais trompé sur le choix, la finition et les fonctionnalités des produits Smallrig ... Je recommande et comparez-les à vos futurs achats, avant la transaction finale pour ne rien regretter ensuite.
