Heavy -but excellent product build quality.
Have now used this drill on several loft conversion projects to drill through various steel beams, metal plates and metal angles. Very strong magnet and precise drill bit positioning capability has made this drill a real asset. Make sure though you strap support the drill because it is heavy. Once the drill starts it penetrates mild steel no problem. I used a good quality spray on oil lubricatation which keeps the drill bits cool and aids the cut. The drill is fitted with handles (x3) which makes drilling easy and gives good control. An excellent product at a fabulous price point.

Excellent for the money
Update. Got this drill in june 2019, over 5 years ago, use it most days, up to 30mm holes in 20mm plate, still drills like a new one. Amazing tool, I won't hesitate to buy again when this one finally gives up, i might retire first. Its cheap but doesnt feel cheap to use, fast and powerful (I guess using good cutters helps) it does adjust its own speed to compensate for the pressure applied too. I've only cut 4 16 mm holes in 15mm steel so far but I'm very pleased with it. I'll update this in a month or 2 if I have problems later.Update..3 years later and hundreds of holes drilled and this is still going strong. I use this drill most days for holes up to 28mm through steel up to 20mm thick and it just keeps going. I've dropped it, knocked it off the bench and left it out in the rain, if it stopped working tomorrow it would have been well worth double the money.

Surprisingly good quality
I’ve never left a review on Amazon before, but felt that I really should in this instance. This machine is very good quality. We’re building a small extension that requires a steel frame, and I was daunted by the prospect of hand drilling holes to join wood to the steel. However, this drill made it incredibly easy. I bought the Evolution bits as well and they were superb. The included chuck meant I could also use my own HSS bits too. The magnet is very powerful and the overall feel of the machine is one of solid build and is perfect for my needs. Excellent bit of kit.

Good value for money
This is a great tool and has saved me a lot of time and effort already. I did not use the coolant feed tube or container as i was often working the drill in a horizontal plane and just applied coolant directly to the surface to be drilled. There is an adjustment which allows you to raise the drilling head and use the included chuck with longer drill bits etc. This needs to be tight or else the drill head, when being wound down into the work will just sit on the surface and not penetrate, due to the slippage.Other than this, I found it to be a good tool. Only single speed, but fine for the holes i was drilling. The blow moulded case is useful for storage. All allen keys which are needed were included. the magnet works well on good iron. It will not grip reliably on rusted material. It was able to hold, to drill vertically on lighter angle and box sections too.

Still waiting for broken mag drill to be collected
I initiated a return a couple of weeks ago for courier to collect 'next working day' but no courier still two weeks later. How am I supposed to chase this up? We need a working Mag drill and this is putting works behind and costing me money.

A workshop must
An absolute must for a fabrication shop and site work, bought one when they first came out(cost alot more back then) this is a, weapon of a tool, no need to strip down like other makes to turn into a drill, just release the lock screw and slip the motor up the carrier, and fit the chuck, everything you need comes in a super strong case ( no broach cutters of course) good strong magnet torque controlled motor, last one lasted for 6yrs used every day only thing that broke up until it died was the power cord

Shuld have bought this years ago!
Don't do reviews, but this has to be the exception, After struggling with an old pillar drill trying to drill holes in a trailer I was making, I gave up and ordered this drill. Wow, I have used it vertically, horizontally and upside down. Great magnetic clamping force and even useable when you can't get both magnets on the material. Good slow (single speed) makes better performance than either of my pillar drills. Adjustable depth settings mean you can drill through one side of hollow tube, reset the depth and as long as the bit is long enough keep going. Really wish I had bought this years ago! Only gripe is that the chuck / key wouldn't fit at first and both chuck key hole and key needed the paint / lacquer removing first. Yet to try it with the cutter kit (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DUVOXX6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but more than satisfied with its performance on just twist drills. 13mm in 7mm plate no problem and suspect it would easily handle 25mm plus blacksmith drills.
