So far, so good
Having recently moved into a village cottage I soon realised that, thanks to the neighbouring farms, flies and other flying insects were going to be a problem. And, because of an elderly Labrador (who loves lying in the open front door watching the world go by) it could become serious. The reviews of similar products listed on Amazon were rather mixed. In addition to comments about reliability it quickly became clear that the smaller units - although capable of handling relatively small rooms - wouldn't meet my needs.Although no-one had yet reviewed this particular product the specification looked excellent. Which, in turn, persuaded me to find out just how well it performed in practice.I haven't been disappointed. Although it's early in the season it works well - even with the cottage door open - and the quality of manufacture is excellent. It was well packed and delivery was extremely prompt.

No more flies!
Where do flies go in winter? My loft!We have had the problem for many years, trying lots of products, this fly zapper will be replacing an old one, where the plastic had gone yellow, being afraid of over heating or an electrical fault in the loft, we replaced it.The flymatic is made metal and looks very sturdy. As Autumn approaches the flies are zapping already, Flymatic is easy to maintain and empty the the tray.Securely double boxed for delivery.

Effective fly killer, not Harry Potter wonder weapon
Bought this as we had to declare war on the flies that seemed to invade our kitchen en masse in this unusually hot and dry weather. It attracts flies due to its light,so placement of the device is critical and will need some fine tuning to put it in the best place. Will flies queue up like jets over Heathrow to dive to electrical oblivion,no they won't.Does it work during the day,no worse than sticky fly paper that we also deployed to maximise killing potential which the small fruit flies seemed to avoid yet settle next to.I would use fly spray but my dogs can't be trusted not to eat any missed fly corpses. So this device offers a clean and effective option. It comes into its own when the light fades, and I leave it as late as I can so it can zap in the darkness.Build quality on mine is good, and I use it free standing on my kitchen work surface, although you can suspend it.Sadly it does not hypnotise flies to fly into it,but it's a better option than toxic fly sprays and Basil Fawlty gymnastics trying to swat the pests with a rolled up news paper.

A must have Item.
Good quality, well made product at a very reasonable price. I have mine hanging on my kitchen wall. Although this unit is not as stylish as some, it is a high quality fly zapper that works very well.I can recommend this product .

Brilliant fly killer
This is a great piece of kit suitable for industrial use. Has never let us down. This is the second one we have purchased and would highly recommend after trying many other chemical and electronic fly killing options!

It sometimes zaps them like a firework going off and the dogs are terrified ...
we had to replace the motor after a few weeks but it really does the job. It sometimes zaps them like a firework going off and the dogs are terrified but it certainly collects a lot of flies in the tray; we're always emptying it as we have all the doors & windows open all summer on the farm. It's quite big - bigger than I imagined
