I don't usually review products, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I have been looking for a sand free mat for awhile and there are lots of expensive ones out there with mixed reviews. This one had only a few reviews so I was skeptical, but for under $20 I took a chance and ordered it anyway. I have used it at the beach 3 times now and am still very happy with it. Prior to having this mat, I would sit on a beach towel and it would end up getting annoyingly sandy within minutes of being at the beach. Now, I still bring a beach towel and use it on top of the mat for comfort, but my towel stays clean!Pros:- Dry sand falls through automatically and very little comes back up- Wet sand falls through and stays away with the brush of a hand- You can rub the mat against sandy limbs to clean them- Pretty large - big enough for a family of 3-4- Mat itself stays very clean (Sand doesn't get trapped inside the layers after use)Cons:- Will let a little sand back through if the sand underneath it is not flat (seems to work best on level sand)- Mesh is not super comfortable to sit directly on (bring a towel to use on top)I'm very happy with this mat and won't go the beach without it now.

was looking for something not too expensive for beach activities with my kids. When putting this in front of my sport tent, it never gathered sands from kids’ wet sandy feet. Kids could sit on top of it with their wet sandy swimsuit to eat and then went back to play on sand. The holes on the mat are big enough to release the sands to the ground. On the other way, when pushing harder, the sands will show up on the mat and then go away. But, if really cared about the sands come up, folded it becoming double layers mat and the sand will never come back. I also think it would be a good idea to put this outside a tent when camping. But, not suggest this to any wet floor/grass. It can’t stop your pants getting wet.

It is a great beach blanket. The sand doesn't just fall to the bottom. You have to rub it with your hand to fall through. But it does keep a lot of sand off the blanket then if you had just a regular beach blanket. If the sand is wet I is harder for it to fall through even if rubbing it. It is quite large and is easy to fold. The sand just falls off when you're ready to go. Great carrying case!

This mat definitely does what it says as far as allowing the sand to sift through and stay off the blanket however, people want that to happen because they don’t like the feeling of sand on them while laying down or tanning. This blanket doesn’t defeat that purpose. As soon as u lay down or sit or apply any body weight on it, the sand from underneath the blanket will come up through the tiny holes and get All over your skin. Your butt, legs back (whatever is applying pressure) will be covered in sand. So yes, the blanket stays sand free but your body does not. I had to end up putting a towel over the blanket and then lay on the towel to tan.

I absolutely hated this product! I threw it right in the garbage at the beach!! I’m so disappointed I even got it!!!! Wish I would have kept it so i could get my money back to be honest but why tire around a sandy Blanket back to Ohio from myrtle beach when I’m fact this blanket was supposed to have the sand fall thru it and mind you as I’m setting it up the one part where I put the stake into it to go into the sand just completely ripped right off!!! I’m so upset I even spent my money on it and had I not thrown it away I’d definitely be getting my money back for it because that should have never of happened!! I think i should really get my money back regardless but I was just that upset that it went right into the garbage! I was so excited to get it and use it on my vacation and it was a complete bust! Don’t buy this product don’t waste you’re time or money people!

Will never go to the beach again without it!This was fantastic and easy to pack up again.10/10 the best beach blanket ever.I love that it has stakes too.

I read a lot of reviews before buying and I was a bit concerned that it may not work as well as it seems from the description of the product.I was really happy with it though. Although it does not create a totally sand free environment, it sure makes it much easier to keep sand to the minimum. If sand gets on it, it easily falls through the mesh and if it's a bit stubborn, a few swipes with a hand takes care of it.It works best if you put it out on sturdy sand.Overall a good product.

I thought it was something else, it’s a great thing for the beach if you don’t sit on it while you’re wet! The sand does come through from the bottom, but I guess that’s to be expected LOL! I think it’s a great piece to have if you go to the beach often, great to have small children sitting on, or even maybe just a something to stand on underneath the covering while you’re at the beach. I’m actually very happy with the purchase, even though I thought it was something else, I seem to use it every time I go to the beach. The size is excellent it’s big enough for at least two people if not three, folds up and fits into the bag easily for storage I just hose mine off to keep clean!

Loving the size of the blanket it's over 6 ft by 4ft so it's fantastic for spreading out and keeping all of your goodies and supplies for the day whether at the beach or camping etc.The blanket is made up of two different layers with the pattern going opposite ways like a grid , this is so that the sand is kept off of the top of the blanket's top layer.We used the blanket underneath a blanket and towels and it definitely makes a HUGE difference. Wet sand falls completely off of the blanket and adds an extra layer (actually two) between you and the sand or grass. Just simply lightly shake the blanket when done and the sand falls off easily. A huge seller for me was the fact that the blanket comes with 4 anchors on the the corners and 4 pegs (like tent pegs) in order to secure the blanket to the ground which is a sure plus in the wind etc.It also comes with a handy bag to store and for travel and the material also keeps sand and water off. I will be keeping the blanket inside my vehicle for quick and easy access and on hand for family and sporting events.

Works really well for keeping sand away! The sand falls through the top exactly as expected. However, the mat itself is made of a hard-ish plastic material...it’s kind of like laying on a fishing net. However, that was easily fixed by throwing a towel down over the mat

Great product, exactly as described, don't know if more then 4 can fit, and really is convenient to take with the bag that came with it. Can't wait to test it out

This thing actually works!Have to admit I was skeptical but have used it countless times now and the sand stays off. I lay this down and then put my towel on top and it stays sand free. It’s lightweight to carry and has a bag.
