Hung my new mailbox on an outside metal gate.
Does the job, but I think a few washer rings would enable a more secure fit. The nuts are tiny and feel like they might squeeze through the holes if tightened too much.

Used to fix name plate on metal gates. Would work for post boxes equally as well
