CRAFTSMAN 9-37094 94 Piece Mechanic Tool Set With Case

This socket set was sent to one of my nephews who resides in Asia. He requested an American- branded socket set, as what he was able to get there was essentially unbranded, and of unknown and therefore questionable quality. Before being sent, the entire set was personally inspected, and all the pieces as stated are present and accounted for, but not in their respective places in the included case. They are in plastic bags, to be placed in the case by the owner, well enough in my case due to the distance they were shipped by me. Heavy duty and well made, I am certain they will last for years doing what they were designed for: virtually anything thrown at them! Upon checking with various local Sears stores, it was learned that these tools are now being manufactured in China and other foreign countries, making these domestic tools a rare and dying breed. Upon inspecting the same and similar tools in-store, the difference in quality was quite evident: markings, thicknesses, and overall quality are very different, or simply lacking. The domestic tools are, over and above, simply superior overall. If you want original Craftsman quality, grab 'em now or never. Unfortunatly, the chances of these tools being manufactured domestically in the future are probably slim to none. Easily, a ' 10 ', or 5 stars.

This is a great all around socket set that has everything you'll most likely need in both std and metric sizes. This set is made in USA so that's a big plus for me (trying finding any tools still made in the US - it's not easy). The case is too big in my opinion but again there are slots for everything and a few extras as well. The ratchets seem solid and with Craftsman's lifetime guarantee I'm not worried if for some change something should go wrong.

Its Craftsman so if you are reading this you most likely know the reputation already. I did not really like the ratchets. They are of good quality and functional, but nothing like the old ones they used to make. Still, all in all I give it 5 stars and it is a nice set. Ergonomics on the ratchets needs to be revisited, there are some less expensive ones that just feel a lot better in your hand, and that is especially important when lots of torque is being applied or repetitive use on project.

Purchased for my husband specifically for the deep well sockets this set was supposed to have. #1 - No actual deep well socket, period. #2 - The set was missing 15-20 pieces. However, my husband decided to keep what was there instead of bother with the hassle of returning it and waiting for a replacement. As far as quality, works great!

I got this set for my husband so he would have it at home. He put his other one in the RV so he had one there. He opened it up everything was in it place and it was all packaged great. He enjoyed getting it and said that he will put it to good use.

This was purchased as a Fathers' day present for my husband. He does not do mechanic (or any other work) requiring tools that often, but when he does he needed a tool set. He was very happy with this. His only "complaint" was that there are only two wrenches in this set. However, he purchased a set of those seperately and was still able to fit them in this case, so he's all set now.He did say that if you do a LOT of work, that a bigger tool set may be needed, but for what he does this is perfect.

there's more "extra" stuff in here that you prolly never use. Some of the attachments are so hard to put back in the case that I had push with all my might. (im female, but not weak at all)However, it has all the tools I need to work on my car, which is why I bought it, but have since taken my washing machine apart, fixed it, and put back together. Something I couldn't have done without this set.It's got a good heavy feel when using them. nice quality

I asked before purchasing is item made in USA i was told yes I received Made in China Garbage now I have to return this Trash!
