This is a steam lovers iron. It is very smooth on the ironing surface of clothes, not as glidey as the glide irons but I've had a few of them and they don't last very long - had enough of those so chose this alternative. Easy to handle, not too heavy or anything, holds a great amount of water, you can fill straight from tap into the reservoir hole, but it also comes with a good sized water cup. It's VERY steamy, you can control the steam with the control swivel on the top of iron. You can spray too as usual. Good cord flexibility and a long length too. The auto shut-off is great for if you leave the iron plugged in by mistake. UPDATE: Feb 19 - have had this 1.5years and still going stong! :D - unlike the big brand glide irons.

You can easily see how much water you have in the tank unlike some which are an absolute nightmare to see when they are full! A decent size water tank as well! A good length of cord and irons as it should. My wife liked the fact that there wasn't a trigger for the spray under the handle which made it much more comfortable to hold. Time will tell, of course, as to how long it will last but it is a well established product and well built which bodes well for the future.

Best iron,I have ever had. Good looking. Great quality. Easy ironing,I normally hate ironing,but now I don't mind, because it's so easy with the Braun Ts745a texStyle iron. No dripping, easily glides over wrinkled and creased bed linen and cotton shirts. The handle is comfortable to hold,it has a good , heavy weight,the water spout is wider than most irons,so no water spills over.The cord is longer than our previous iron,it heats up really fast,the steam is continuous and the design makes it easy to get into hard to reach places. Actually I can't find any fault with this iron, very happy with my purchase.👍♥️😉🙂

If you are thinking of buying a Braun product, who used to be the watchword for quality - DON'T !!! This iron leaks from every orifice and some parts that don't have an opening !!! I have contacted the Braun Site - the pre-recorded message is very quick and gives you an email address, but you had better be able to type at 100 words a minute to get that one down - Suffice to say that after 43 minutes on the phone I have been repeatedly talked over and told that my iron with a two year guarantee is only eligible for a replacement and I am not entitled to a refund, because that is company policy !!! The call centre is incredibly noisy with lots of shouting and loud voices in the background. Absolute garbage. I suspect I will be sent an iron of inferior quality as well, assuming of course they acknowledge that water pouring from the temperature dial and steam buttons is a fault and not "excessive use" , using the wrong technique or electricity or something. Don't buy a Braun / Delonghi / Kenwood - the customer service is rubbish - it does at least match their products. One Star rating because you can't give it a zero......

This iron only lasted 12 months before shorting out every time it was switched on. It’s a real shame as it was a good iron. It does have a 2 year guarantee!

Good basic steam iron. Produces alot of steam, very hot, so far execellant purchase. Update 30 Jan, Wow ,,,, German engineering not what it was. The iron started leaking today , lasted 3 weeks, returning today.

As usual I reviewed irons online before purchasing this one. I'm delighted with my purchase.This iron speeds through the ironing as good as any steam generator iron I've used, producing great results. It's a good balanced weight, neither too heavy nor too light. The cable is a good length unlike iron brands that seem to be skimping costs with short cables. The water tank is large, so less refilling required. A well designed and good looking iron that almost makes ironing a pleasure! If I have one slight negative it is possible to move the temperature dial with you hand as you pick up the iron, a slightly firmer control dial would avoid this issue. Would definitely recommend.

Bevor ich mir dieses Bügeleisen geleistet habe, habe ich lange mit einem 24,- EUR Schnäppchen einer anderen bekannten deutschen Marke mit B gebügelt. Mir schien das in Ordnung zu sein, auch wenn ich meine (vielen) Oberhemden nie so richtig schön glatt bekam wie z.B. meine Mutter mit Ihrem, ebenfalls von Braun stammenden, Eisen. Darauf hin habe ich mir dieses Bügeleisen "geleistet" und bin restlos begeistert. Das Eisen heitzt sehr schnell auf und hat wirklich ordentlich Dampf! :-) Auf der höchsten Stufe hab ich das gefühl mein Bügelzimmer in kürzester Zeit in eine subtropische Höhle verwandelt zu haben - Spaß bei Seite: So viel Dampf ist schön, braucht man aber eher selten. Einstellung 3 bis 4 reicht locker. Die Öffnung um das Wasser einzufüllen finde ich etwas nervig - man kann zwar kaum etwas daneben schütten und das einfüllen geht an sich auch leicht von der Hand, aber das Herunterklappen der Öffnung irritiert mich jedes Mal aufs neue. Liegt wohl daran dass ich es gewohnt bin die Abdeckung nach oben zu klappen statt nach unten... Die Sohle ist der Wahnsin! Trotz des, von einer anderen Rezensentin bemängelten, Gewichtes gleitet das Eisen hervorragend auch über z.B. Hemden mit leinenartiger Strucktur. Okay, ich als Mann hab mit dem Gewicht eher wenig Schwierigkeiten und bin froh nicht mit einem Spielzeug bügeln zu müssen ;-) Getestet wurde das Bügeleisen anfänglich von mir an einem bereits 1x getragenen Oberhemd der Marke Seidenst....Leicht verknittert - ausprobiert - Ergebnis: Glatter wie mit meinem alten Bügeleisen nach dem Waschen. Die Optik finde ich persönlich auch sehr ansprechend. Das Schwarz gepaart mit dem schicken grünen Wassertank hat schon was, sieht sehr edel aus. Was mich zur Haptik bringt: Ja, man(n) hat was in der Hand. Der verwendete Kunststoff fühlt sich aber wertig an und macht insgesamt einen stabilen Eindruck. Zur Entkalkungsfunktion kann ich bislang nichts sagen, die habe ich (noch) nicht benutzt, wird aber bei Wasser mit einer Härte von knapp 18 Drad dh, gemischt mit destilliertem Wasser, bald dran sein. Alles in allem bin ich bügeltechnisch von einem Trabant in eine S-Klasse umgestiegen. Die Euro sind für dieses Modell auf jeden Fall gut angelegt! :)
