Father's Memories to His Child

I loved the book when I flipped through it at the store. Bought it and have been less happy as I filled out each page. From a fill in standpoint, the pages have a heavy gloss finish, so make sure you let each page dry for 15 minutes before you close the book or you will get smudges. From a content standpoint, Make sure you a re a 2 parent, household. The book is not very friendly to single parent homes. Some questions had to be left blank, which I fell will only draw attention to it when I finally give it to my son.

My mom filled out a mother one and gave it to me as a gift. I did one with my grandmother and one with my dad. I highly recommend you do this together. So many stories and follow up questions emerged while doing these.

Got this originally since m my partner got one from her grandmother who died of Alzheimer's. It's been passed around her family every since to learn more about her and cherish memories and their life. I got one for my grandmother, mom and dad as well. It's a great gift that they fill in and have fun doing and returns 100 fold to their family as they get older, too. Especially those that are faith based. Though which the cover was more up-to-date and modern looking or itd be more appealing to other people to purchase.

I filled one of these out about 7 years ago when my little girl was first born and just read through it again. It is amazing how memories change in that time, and how experience changes someone.Kinkade is a Christian, and there are Christian themes in there, but not all of the questions relate to prayer and faith. In fact, most of the questions are very general, first car, first pet, first kiss, wedding day etc.That said, it is more suited to Christians than non-Christians due to some of the questions in there which ask about favourite Bible character, story etc. It is a great way for a Christian parent to discuss their faith with their kids and share how their life has changed due to their relationship with Jesus.This is a great book and I am grateful to the author and the publisher for this wonderful gift.

I absolutely L❤VE these books!I had given these as gifts to new parents, my husband's grandfather and my in grandmothers. We learned so much we might otherwise have never known as the questions in the book lead the filler. I think the best part of all is to allow the person filling it out to reflect on their life.I purchased this one for my father whom I was separated all of my childhood. I have only known him since 16, so there is much I do not know. I look forward to reading what he rights!
