Oakwood Barrel Trough Planter

Love these troughbplanters. You need to drill holes in base for drainage and then off you go and plant them up. They look wonderful in my garden and look like real wood. Highly recommended and good value,

I purchased 4 of these planters, they are lightweight and look good in the garden.

I had seen other reviews and was prepared for the darker brown / black colour some had described, I don't mind that it is a more black / brown, it still looks like a wood effect. The dimensions are not quite true. See my pictures. The Length 60 cm was 57, the width 34 cm was 30 and the height 25 cm was actually 24cm, so not quite what was advertised. I like the fact at you drill your own holes, coz I was always going to use mine as a water feature for aquatic plants. Despite the sizing issue, I will keep this product, it looks good for the price.

Perfect product, filled with water and placed two solar fountain units, looking very nice, very happy with product, would certainly buy again.

Perfectly sized trough. Better yet, it’s a nice and lightweight (but sturdy) wood-effect so you get the look without the maintenance issues of wood. No need to paint/stain and no chance of rotting; plus a fraction of the cost of real wood versions. Can’t comment on durability yet, but hoping it will lost a long time. I bought two and would definitely buy more if my garden was bigger.

It was good but as turned rusty

Ok firstly to answer the previous review, it is not black, it is very dark brown. As for saying it’s misleading...common sense required here. Yes it says Oakwood barrel, perhaps they could change it to ‘Oakwood effect barrel trough’ but It clearly states it in the description and if you haven’t bothered to read it then that’s all on you. Did you really think you’d get a wooden one with copper trim for this price?! It’s a fabulous trough, great size and looks lovely, nice and light so easier to move and only thing missing were the holes in the base which I shall add with a hot knife. My wallflowers are going to look gorgeous in this, very happy, definitely recommend!

It's described as an "Oakwood Barrel Trough". Even the description is misleading as it mentions 'wood' in the materials. IT'S ACTUALLY A PLASTIC MOULDING, rather darker than the picture leads you to believe, but I guess that depends on which production run you get. It looks nice enough and probably will do a nice job, but depending on what you use it for, you may need to drill some drain holes in the base. Do the research and make sure you know what you are buying, as the header can be a little mis-leading.

Jolie jardinière de bonne taille par contre déçue par la couleur plus foncé que sur la photo (quasiment noir ); c'est pourquoi j'ai mis 4 étoile en place de 5 . une couleur un peu plus" bois" en ferai un produit méga extra .

parfait reflet d'un vrai tonneau. il est cependant noir, et non chêne foncé…mais c'est très joli. ce sera une jardinière sur ma terrasse, j'y ferai un trou pour l'évacuation. j'ai également acheté un demi tonneau rond, identique, noir aussi !!!
