Great product and great service

I recently took delivery of this Generator and it works and ticks all the boxes. I needed a small generator as a back up for the boat and I looked at both the Honda and the Yamaha which are both highly rated as best in class the only niggle was the point in price between £1100 and around just under a grand for the Yamaha, for the amount of use involved per season I couldn't really justify it. I looked elsewhere and this Senci came up which is sold in America under the brand name of Smarter Tools and iswell reviewed an the American Amazo.The thing that drew me was the fact that it uses the same Yamaha mz80 engine that is used in their own Yamaha Suitcase Generator, the difference being the rest of the actual build is all made and packaged in China which comes on in at over half the price. I was a little sceptical when I ordered it (buy cheap buy twice) but factored in if lasts a few years and packs up I can still get another for the price of the one so I took a punt and ordered one for £480 delivered.When it arrived it was well packaged and was generally impressed with the build quality and the general feel of the unit, it didn't feel or look cheap. filled it up with oil put added some petrol in turned the fuel onand was up and running with the first pull of the cord. The engine runs quiet on Eco mode and is reasonable under load compared with a lot of other Generators it's quiet. I hooked it up to the shore power on the boat and ran 1500 watt hair dryer, 8x 40watt light bulbs and the small tv to see if it could take the load and all worked ok.. As for longevity only time will tell however it does come with a 2 year warranty and the engine being Yamaha should prove to be reliable. The only possible issue I can see could be spare parts, there don't seem to much available but to be fair to Senci I don't think these Generator has been on sale for very long in the UK so again only time will tell.All in all from a price point of view if your after a Suitcase 2kw Generator this thing works well is quiet and is half the price of the branded Yamaha version.

Had this in a holiday in Ireland. Ran shower and water heater,TV,lights. It will not boil a kettle. But I can boil the kettle on the gas hob. Excellent for when you're by the sea or by the side of a mountain. Very good product

Had my generator about a 3 years, useful to run a small angle grinder or hand drill, compact and quiet.But be warned the UK support network for these generators does not really exist. I made the mistake of leaving fuel in it and not running it for 6 months blocking the carburettor jets. I have searched the internet far and wide for new carburettor parts in the UK with no luck. In the end I had to source a new pirate part carburettor from china.

Best suitcase generator i've owned, and i have had many over the last 20yrs. Well made inverter, nice and quiet, easy pull cord start.

Great Generator, not the most expensive, but well put together and works really well as back-up power source for my motorhome. not too noisy and easy to start. Overall a very good product.
