I'm not a pro metal worker but so far this has been cutting everything I put into it. As the specs state, it won't cut much more than 1mm thick metal, but that's still super useful. I've been finding it really great as a general-use "strong scissor".It also cuts soft things pretty well, like paracord.If you need to cut really thick stuff then consider a bolt cutter.Oh, and also the Challenge Xtreme rotary tool is awesome for slower but very precise metal cutting.Wear eye protection when using this! Sometimes offcuts can go flying since it puts a lot of pressure on the material! Bolle make some really nice eye protection for a good price.

I recently brought some wire mesh to put over the air vents and stop mice, insects from getting in my home, unfortunately, none of my cutters would cut the mice proof wire mesh, so I brought these and they cut amazingly, they look good and do the job and I recommend them! 👌

Irwin c'est le top ou c'était?Je suis professionnel plaquiste et utilise énormément ce genre de pince,j'en possède 5.Qualité: la coupe est nette ,précise ,facile.Défauts:-la matière de la poignée est en plastique antidérapant mais plutôt dur,je m'attendais a de la gomme comme sur toutes mes autre pinces (j'ai pas des mains pleines de cales en même temps!) ce qui peut provoquer plus d'échauffement à la peau en cas de coupes répétées (et je prefère mes vieilles pinces...)- le métal aviation du bec qui coupe, a des petits points de rouilles!Pourtant stocker dans mon camion a coté de mes autres pinces qui ont 6,7 ans elles!Celle-ci a 6,7 mois!Ho elle coupe toujours tres bien,mais IRWIN était le top lorsque c'était marqué "made in usa" aujourd'hui le "made in china" a un peu changé la donne mais le prix n'a pas baissé lui!Bon article mais on peut trouver mieux dans d'autres marques.Edit 29/06/2016 : au final elle est plus confortable que stanley et edma largement.Seule novivrpo continu de faire des poignées en gomme tendre,mais sensible au accrocs dans le sac d'outils...Rien n'est parfait!
