Kilner Manual Coffee Grinder Jar Set, 0.5L

Thé Kilner coffee grinder is very good at grinding beans for use in either an espresso machine or a french press because of the adjustable grinding mechanism. The manual grinding process requires a degree of patience and muscle power, but if you incorporate this while waiting for your porridge to cook, the quality of a fresh coffee caffeine hit is time and effort well spent. In a rush?, buy an electric grinder.

I quite like it. My first spell of grinding - it smells nice. I like the crunching, the movement, the (mild) labour to achieve a result. I bought the beans of a ground coffee preparation I have enjoyed - the freshly ground beans prodeuced a smoother, subtler taste and texture.

I like freshly ground coffee and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an electric coffee grinder so when I saw this I thought it would be great. Once I'd washed and put it together at the right consistency for me I found I could have fresh coffee really quickly and easily, even if you have problems with your hands it takes no effect so that doesn't stop you being able to use it, just turn the wooden handle in quickly you'll have enough for a cup of fresh coffee

The coffee grinder was working fine for a few weeks, even though it is quite tough to grind beans by hand it was working adequately. Then the screw mechanism which alters the grain from coarse to fine stopped working and we were only able to get a very coarse grain. Tried everything to fix, but nothing. Seller refused to refund or replace and would not reply to messages, so filed a claim with Amazon and got a full refund. Poor product and bad customer service - I don't recommend and will be buying somewhere else!

I love that this grinder is plastic-free (at least so they say on the box), but it could really do with a lid to keep the beans from jumping all around the kitchen when ground. I ended up re-purposing this silicone yoghurt lid for it, but without a lid, it's a nightmare to grind anything.

It couldn't be better - perfect for us to take away on camping trips. Grinding our coffee beans manually has become an enjoyable ritual - makes the coffee taste even better!

If you have the time to grind out the beans and are prepared to have bits of bean shoot out of the hopper,this is for you!

easy to use

Very difficult labour to even get one cup of coffee's worth - disaster buy and can't return as didn't keep packaging. Was v expensive, wasted money, will just be an ornament now. Getting an electric grinder.

Nice idea but no dice! It takes forever to grind coffee -- especially if you want espresso. The hopper and handle could use a storage bag and the jar is just a standard canning jar.

Exactly what I was expecting; looks and works great.
